Practitioner Ms. Shi Jinling, who is in her 50s, lives in Laohutai District, Fushun City. On March 7, 2005 someone reported her to the police while she was clarifying the truth. She has since been held at Shenyang City's Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, and has been on a hunger strike since March 7 to protest the persecution.

In the spring of 2002, practitioner Ms. Liu Suhuan, 56, from Anshan City, Liaoning Province was tortured to the point of disability. The diagnosis is a fractured vertebrae and comminuted pelvic fracture. Doctors indicated that she may not recover. She was put under house arrest, and monitored by police to prevent her from practicing Falun Gong exercises. Thus she was lying in bed for over one and a half years. But after fellow practitioners rescued her from the police surveillance, she recovered while practicing Falun Gong.

In August 2004, Liu Suhuan was again arrested, and put into the Anshan City Yuemingshan No. 1 Detention Center. Under torture, the old symptoms relapsed and her lower extremities became paralyzed. For the past seven months she could not take care of herself. Though she is in peril, the police still refuse to release her.

Practitioners incarcerated at the Anshan City Yuemingshan Forced Labor Camp are on a hunger strike to protest the maltreatment.

Practitioner Ms. Yang Xiaolan from Sichuan Province is in her 30s. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, she and her son went to appeal for Falun Gong in Beijing. The police arrested both her and her five-year-old son. Later, her husband had their son released, however, she was brutally tortured.

Yang was sent to forced labor because of her determination to practice Falun Gong. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, but was force-fed on the tenth day.

After being released from the forced labor camp, Yang Xiaolan continued with her Falun Gong practice, but someone reported her to the police, and afterwards she was held at the Shenzhen City Futian Detention Center. Her current situation is unknown.

The police arrested practitioner Ms. Han Chunhong from Huichun City, Yanbian region, Jilin Province, and held her at the Huichun City Henan Street Police Station. She was hung up and beaten for three days and nights, and then sent to one year of forced labor.

During the morning of April 6, 2005, practitioner Ms. Wang Minghua from Zhucheng City, Shandong Province was arrested when she went food shopping.

During the morning of February 1, 2005, practitioner Mr. Zhao Haigang from Weifang City was arrested at the city bus station and put into a detention center. He has since been suffering persecution.

On April 7, 2005, police from Chengguan Town, Laishui County, Baoding City, Hebei Province arrested Mr. Xin Tingchao from Nanzhu Village, Chengguan Town, and ransacked his home.

Practitioner Mr. Guo Xiaoyu from Hengshui City, Hebei Province is held at the No. 2 Team, No. 5 Division in Jidong Prison. Because he refuses to give up his practice, he has been subjected to coercive brainwashing. He has been locked up in a small cell for over three months and has been denied all outside correspondence and family visits.

Practitioner Mr. Sun Jianzhong from Tangshan City, Hebei Province was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment and held at the No. 3 Team, No. 4 Division of Jidong Prison. Because he refuses to give in to the demands of the persecutors, more than twenty people tormented him every day with coercive brainwashing. Family visits are denied, letters to him are confiscated, and all information is blocked.

Many practitioners are held at the No. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Divisions. Guards force them to work 10 to 12 hours every day and do not allow any contact with their families.

In the middle of January 2005, practitioner Mr. Xiu Hongchen from Suiling County, Suihua Region, Heilongjiang Province was arrested and his home was ransacked. At present he is being held at the Hailun City Police Department, and has been tortured to the point of disability.

On February 8, 2004, personnel from the Renhe Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Peng Shuming from Gaotang County and put him into the County Detention Center.

On around March 26, 2005, another practitioner was arrested while painting some truth-clarifying posters.

On April 4, 2005, Lishan District People's Court sentenced practitioners Mr. Wang Qingzhu, Zang Yuyun and Zeng Feng. Wang Qingzhu and Zang Yuyun were sentenced to thirteen years of imprisonment. Zeng Feng was sentenced to seven years in prison.

A few months after Wang Wei was released from a forced labor camp, due to pressure from higher authorities, the officials from his former work unit, the Provincial Agricultural & Industrial Department, forced him to resign. But Wang Wei refused to do so. He went to the office on March 31. The work unit officials collaborated with personnel from Qinghe Police Station in Changyang District, and broke into Wang Wei's home at 6:30 p.m. that same day. They ransacked his place and put Wang Wei into a detention center.

On March 7, 2005, practitioner Mr. Wang Peng was followed and arrested. On March 8, the police ransacked his home. Wang Peng is currently being held at Tiebei Detention Center in Changchun City. Police do not permit visits from his family members.

At the beginning of March 2005, practitioner Ms. Zhang Guilian was arrested in Tieling City, where she was then living at a classmate's home to avoid being persecuted. The police arrested her and her classmate Ms. Zhang Ying together. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.

On April 5, 2005, practitioner Ms. Shi Chunying from Fushun City was arrested at her sister's home on Xisan Street, Xinfu District. She may have been sent to the Luotaishanzhuang brainwashing class.

Ms. Zhou Zhongbi from Baoshan District was denied the passport she applied for simply because she practices Falun Dafa. Personnel from the local police department and from the 610 Office ordered her to write a so-called guarantee statement and "reformation statement." Zhou Zhongbi firmly refused. They did not allow her to appeal or ask for administrative reconsideration.

Zhou Zhongbi's elder daughter lives in Canada, but none in the whole family can visit her because they can't get passports.

On March 5, 2005, Mr. Li Yuejin, Ms. Ma Kun, Ms. Wang Kunqi, and her father from Beijing, together with Zhang Ming from Tongling City, Anhui Province, went in Wang Kunqi's car to see an exhibition held at the Beijing Military Museum. They were arrested while visiting the museum. That same night Li Yuejin and Wang Kunqi's homes were ransacked. Before long, Ma Kun's home was ransacked as well. Currently all five are held at Shijingshan District Detention Center. Li Yuejin was detained at No. 9 Cell in the No. 1 Section.

Ms. Ma Kun, 40, is a photography professor from the Journalism College of Chinese People's University. Her album Journey is included in library collections in over a dozen countries. She was one of the first people to receive professional photography training in China. She was taken to a brainwashing class for persecution simply because she practices Falun Dafa. In 2002, she left her home to avoid further persecution. Her husband is a division head from the Chinese People's University and was forced to divorce her.

On November 21, 2004, police arrested practitioner Mr. Di Jianchao at home in Xiaobanqiao District. He was sent to the Anning City Detention Center. Wang Shiqing was arrested along with him, but was released after revealing the identity of fellow practitioner Di Jianchao. Because Di Jianchao firmly resisted the illegal arrest, the police at Anning City Detention Center instigated a wicked prisoner in charge of the cell and a prisoner from Northeastern China to violently beat him about the chest and stomach.

Mr. Zheng Zhiyang, 32, from Sichuan Province, does manual work at a tailor's shop in Anning City, Yunnan Province. On December 24, 2004, he and 65-year-old Ms. Xiang Huaqiang from Kunming Steel Works planned to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa to people in Bajie Township, but were arrested by police waiting there for them. They were later taken to the Anning City Detention Center.

On March 20, 2005, the police in Yiu County arrested Ms. Huang Xuezhu, who is in her 50s. Her home is on Jiaotong Road in Chengguan Town, Yiu County. They ransacked her home for hours searching for Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. A few days later Huang Xuezhu was sent to one year of forced labor. At present, Huang is being held at Zhuzhou City Baimalong Forced Labor Camp.

At around 8:00 p.m. on April 7, 2005, practitioner Ms. Li Lanying passed by the police department and distributed one piece of Falun Dafa truth-clarifying material. The guard at the gate, who is in his 20s, saw this, and slammed Ms. Li, who is in her 60s, onto the ground. He held her down and beat her until she lost consciousness. Someone called an ambulance. 610 Officer Yang Liping and other police officers arrived. They pulled Ms. Li Lanying into a police vehicle by force. Later, Ms. Li's family went to the police department to ask for her release, but without any success.

On April 8, plainclothes police began monitoring Ms. Li Lanying's home.

In March 2005, practitioner Ms. Gu Bihua distributed Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials in a supermarket in Chengdu City. She was reported to the police, and was arrested at the supermarket the next day.

In April 2005, Xie Jinsheng, an employee of Erxianqiao Locomotive Factory in Chengdu City, was reported to the "110" emergency hotline while he distributed Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials in a dorm area at Chengdu University of Technology. Personnel from the "110" Criminal Team and the National Security Team in Chenghua District, Chengdu City, arrested him. Later, accompanied by personnel from the factory's Security Section, they ransacked his home. They had no legal documentation for their actions.

The police in Pudong District recently arrested practitioner Mr. Fa Zhengping. He had previously been incarcerated at a forced labor camp for two years.

On April 10, 2005, four practitioners were sentenced in Shanghai Hongkou District.

On June 23, 2003, practitioner Ms. Fu Yunjie from Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province took a taxi to visit her mother's home at Dongguanyingzi in Beipiao City. The taxi driver reported her because she clarified the truth of Falun Dafa. Thus, personnel from Donguan Police Station and from the National Security Team in the city police department arrested her at her mother's home. On July 18, 2005, Fu Yunjie was sentenced to two years of forced labor and put into Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City. On March 30, 2005 she was released as a result of rescue efforts from practitioners in Mainland China and overseas.

Practitioner Mr. Han Hongtao started Falun Dafa practice in 1994, and went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000 or 2001. Police in Beijing and Hong'an County fined him 20,000 yuan. In 2001, police arrested him at home and put him into a detention center for nearly eight months. On April 5, 2005 someone reported him when he went back to his hometown to clarify the truth of Falun Gong. He was arrested and has since been held at the Shangxinji Police Station. It is reported that Han Hongtao has been on a hunger strike for six days to protest the persecution.

At around 10:00 a.m. on March 30, 2005, with instructions from the 610 Office in Changchun City, the CCP Secretary of Yangshu Town, Dehui City, along with a government official, ganged up with the head of Yangshu Town Police Station and a policeman. They stormed into the home of Ms. Chang Yawen in Yangcao Village, Yangshu Town, and unlawfully arrested Chang Yawen. It was reported that Chang Yawen was sent to a brainwashing class located near Dongdaqiao in Changchun City.

In March 2005, practitioners Ms. He Lingdi and Wang Shuxuan from Yantai City, Shandong Province were reported twice for clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa. "110" police arrested them and sent them to the Wenhua Road Police Station in Muping District. Both practitioners were severely beaten.

In early April 2005, police from the Daqing City Third Oil Extraction Plant arrested practitioners Ms. Mao Yisu and Ms. Liu Fengying, employees of the plant.

Some time after 12:00 p.m. on March 27, 2005, personnel from the Jinzhou City Police Department and Baigu Police Station suddenly broke into the home of Ms. Li Xiuqiu, located in the No. 80 Building of Anjuxia Residential Community. They arrested 19 practitioners who were having an experience-sharing conference in that apartment. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. The practitioners were sent to the city No. 2 Detention Center at around 6:00 p.m.

Male practitioners arrested include: Han Wei, Xu Wei, Wang Hongjie, Uncle Song, Uncle Liu and Uncle Zhang (since released).

Female practitioners include: Li Sumin, Li Yanmei, Li Xiuqiu, Yu Sumin, Xie, Aunt Zhang, Meng, Han, Zhang (released after one night), Wang (released after two nights detention and 3,000 yuan extortion), Aunt Wang (released after two nights and 3,000 yuan extortion)

Ms. Li Xiuqiu's husband works out of town. Her son is a first year high school student, and is left at home alone without care.

On April 14, 2005, Jingjiang District Court in Chengdu City attempted to sentence Mr. Li Xiaobo, Mr. Zeng Tao, Cheng Mo and Ms. Xiong Yuhua.

Ms. Jia Guizhi, 37, is from Xinqiu District, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. On April 14, 2005, while she was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials on the street, a plainclothes policeman followed her. Later, officers from the local police station arrested her and searched her house. She is currently being detained at Xindi Detention Center in Fuxin City.

On March 29, 2005, while Ms. Xie Qimin was on her way back home, Yu Yong, head of the Yongqing County 610 Office, along with lawless policemen Shang Junyan, Liu Guangzhi and Sun Jianguo, arrested her and put her into a detention center. They confiscated her home key and then searched her house and confiscated her computer, VCD, and three printers.

Ms. Liao Jinrong, 74, was an employee of Chengdu City 420 Factory. On the morning of March 18, 2005, when she was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong at Sansheng Township Flower Festival, lawless policemen arrested her and took her to Sansheng Township Police Station. The police then ordered Zhang Biao, an officer from Shuangqiao Police Station, to pick her up. In the afternoon, officers from Shuangqiao Police Station searched Liao Jinrong's house and confiscated a tape and some materials. Because Liao Jinrong and her family resisted the illegal arrest, Liao Jinrong was finally released unconditionally.

Practitioner Ms. Han Ying, 23, is from Shenyang City. Recently she was arrested for writing "Falun Dafa is Good" at the dorms in Shenyang University. She is presently being incarcerated at Sujiatun Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao Lijun, from Xin Village in Shulan City, lives alone. Recently, personnel from Nancheng Police Station went to her home and forced her to open the door. They asked whether or not she still practiced Falun Gong. Zhao Lijun replied yes. The lawless policemen then searched her house and took anything they wanted, including 3,700 yuan in cash and a cell phone. They forcibly took her to the police station. Several other Falun Gong practitioners were arrested that same day.
