Three Falun Dafa Practitioners Missing After Appealing in Beijing

1. Update Regarding Missing Practitioner Chen Fengjun from Longkou City, Shandong Province

Miss Cheng Fengjun is about 60 years old, and is from Mengjia Village, Xiadingjia Town, Longkou City. She was arrested in late 2000, and her whereabouts remain unknown. She was taken to a brainwashing center at Jinglao Center in Xiadingjia Town the day after her arrest, and she has been missing ever since.

Miss Cheng suffered many types of illnesses before she began practicing Falun Dafa. At the time, the medical treatments she obtained were not effective so she struggled every day and was on the verge of death. After beginning Falun Dafa practice, she held a high standard for herself as a practitioner, and constantly tried to improve and raise her moral standard. Soon, she became healthy.

She has gone to Beijing to appeal three times since the persecution began in 1999. In fall 2000, a brainwashing center was illegally established in Xiadingjia County. Miss Chen was taken to the center, but her blood pressure was high, reaching 220, and it alarmed the center personnel, so they released her. The other five practitioners in the center resisted the persecution and escaped during the night while the guards were asleep. The brainwashing operation had to be closed down.

Not long after that, Miss Chen was taken to Jinglao Center in Xiadingjia Town for further brainwashing. But sources reported that she stayed there for one day and disappeared the next day. There has been no news about her. Her husband, Yu Xiyou lives at home alone.

2. Falun Dafa Practitioner Sun Biao from Huanggang, Hubei Province Has Been Missing Since He Disappeared in September 1999

Mr. Sun Biao was born in 1951. He was a staff member at a water treatment facility and lived in the facility's dormitory. There has been no information about him since he went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Dafa on September 19, 1999. At the end of 1999, the local police station extorted 3000 yuan from his family.

3. 60-Year-Old Falun Dafa Practitioner Jiang Xiurong from Liuxun, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province Disappeared in Late 2000

Miss Jiang, a Falun Dafa practitioner who will turn 64 years old this year, was a retired worker employed in the air concrete mixing plant from Zhengzhou. In 2000, she was detained for over one month after going to Beijing to appeal. After she was released from the detention center, she went to appeal again and has since been missing.
