France: Appealing in Paris for Public Awareness of the Persecution of Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Over the past several weeks, practitioners in France promoted Falun Gong on various streets in Paris to help people understand the practice and the on-going persecution in China.

Signing a petition to support Falun Gong

As time went on, Falun Gong promotional activities took place on a number of streets. One such activity was in an area with various ethnic groups and crowded streets bustling with tourists, students and shoppers. Though there were not many practitioners to take part, our banners were so eye-catching that many passersby stopped to attentively read the captions that went with photos about the persecution. Some were shocked and took the initiative to sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution without any further explanation.

Before we concluded the activity in the afternoon, some popular figures of a political party who were holding activities approached us and signed the petition. They said that they support Falun Gong practitioners and are against the persecution.

Some police officers also came over. Before asking if we had permission, they wanted to know about the persecution, and expressed their support for Falun Gong.

Since we launched this activity, many people that we met on the street have later come to our practice sites to learn the exercises.
