(Clearwisdom.net) In 2004, Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Jishan of Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province was illegally sentenced to three years in prison and was incarcerated at the Daqing Prison. According to a reliable source, in the afternoon of June 7, 2005, Mr. Xu was choked to death with water by five inmates under the order of prison guards.

Mr. Xu Jishan, 41, worked at the Furnace Building Company under the Daqing City Petrochemical Company's Construction Company in Heilongjiang Province. Because he practiced Falun Gong, his work contract was terminated by the company.

In March 2004 Mr. Xu was illegally sentenced to three years in prison for distributing truth clarification materials. He was sent to the No. 7 Prison Ward at the Hongweixing Prison in Daqing City. At 4:00 p.m. on June 7, 2005, the prison authorities told his family that Xu Jishan had failed "to be rescued" after emergency treatment, and died from an "illness." His mouth and nose were filled with coagulated blood, and the area surrounding his mouth was covered with deep bite marks. According to a reliable source, under instigation from the prison guards, five inmates used water to choke him to death. The prison authorities are trying very hard to cover up this murder. They did not allow Xu Jishan's family to look at his body and refused to conduct a brain CT scan. His family is currently talking with the prison authorities.

Daqing Prison is a so-called "State Bureau-level Civilized Work Unit." The No. 7 Prison Ward is the "advanced work unit" where steadfast Falun Dafa practitioners are most savagely tortured. As of this writing, three practitioners, Yu Yongquan, Wang Hongde, and Xu Jishan, have been tortured to death at the Daqing Prison. Beginning in May, the authorities at this prison have escalated the persecution. They tortured practitioner Zhao Yuan, from Acheng City in the No. 7 Prison Ward, until he could no longer eat and vomited anything he ate. Practitioner Jin Sheng from Zhaozhou is on the brink of death from torture, and practitioner Cheng Peiming developed open pulmonary tuberculosis from torture. The perpetrators not only refused to release him but locked him in solitary confinement.
