(Clearwisdom.net) The most significant aspect of the persecution of Falun Gong waged by the CCP and Jiang Zemin is that it is "hidden." In several decades of political persecution they have mastered the most ruthless, heinous methods. On the surface, it is deadly quiet, but in reality, the pervasive persecution in China remains rampant.

From July 1999 to June 2005, the number of confirmed deaths has reached 2500. At least six thousand Falun Dafa practitioners have been sentenced to long prison terms, while hundreds of thousands have been sent to labor camps. Several thousand were tortured with injections of nerve-damaging drugs in mental hospitals. Large numbers of practitioners have been abducted and sent to brainwashing classes to be mentally tortured, beaten, and bankrupted by being forced to pay extortion money to the police.

While the CCP projects the image that it is as soft as "spring wind and rain drops" in regard to its treatment of Falun Dafa practitioners during this "best human rights" time period, the CCP not only controls mainland China media, but also has exported the propaganda overseas, building a facade of fabrications and slandering Falun Gong.

But dark clouds can only cover the sun temporarily.

On June 4, and 7, 2005, former First Secretary Chen Yonglin of the Chinese Sydney Consulate and former Tianjin City 610 Office and Police Department Hao Fengjun declared their disassociation from the CCP.

Both these men are former CCP officials who were involved in persecuting Falun Gong. Mr. Chen was in charge of harassing and monitoring Falun Gong in Australia, while Mr. Hao was a member of the 610 Office. They both witnessed the systematic persecution of Falun Gong, even personally witnessing shockingly cruel treatment of detained Falun Gong practitioners. Their conscience finally got to them and prevented them from further involvement in this state-run persecution. They decided to choose good over evil, to bravely escape the CCP, to bear witness to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong, to bid farewell to the darkness and walk towards a brighter future.

On June 9, 2005, AAP reported that another Chinese refugee in Australia told his lawyer that he had witnessed a Falun Dafa practitioner being beaten to death by 610 Office personnel. This is the third former CCP official in one week who has taken a stand against the CCP persecution of Falun Gong.

After several years of persistent efforts by Falun Dafa practitioners clarifying the truth, the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong behind the curtain of deception is being revealed for everyone in the world to see. The rationality, strength, and great tolerance of Falun Dafa practitioners' opposition to the persecution has awakened even more people of conscience to stand up for what is right and to expose the CCP's most heinous crimes--not just against Falun Gong--but also against humanity. The awakening of party members to the truth is a severe problem for the CCP. The curtain is falling.

One thing that puzzled many people is why some continue to believe and defend the CCP, even while knowing that it has lied countless times in history. Beside the long term brainwashing by the CCP controlled media, there is another psychological factor, which is the Chinese societal reliance on "authorities." The Chinese media has been given the role of "representing the State Government." The CCP has used people's psychological fears, and through a pattern of lying over the years, they have lulled the people into a state where they are fooled unknowingly. The voice of truth coming at this key moment in history from inside the CCP is most beneficial to people who still adhere to CCP fabrications.

We believe that those who have believed the CCP's and Jiang's fabrications and have hatred towards Falun Gong or who joined the persecution, will realize the truth and stop before the collapse takes place. They have the opportunity to expose all of the inhuman persecution through their personal testimony. No matter how many bad things one has committed against Falun Gong, whoever can step forward righteously will make up for their sins with righteous actions and obtain a chance to walk away with a peaceful mind and a mended heart. Their actions constitute a triumphant moment in society, demonstrating that justice will prevail over evil when people's hearts sense the truth, and this will lead to the entire human race negating the persecution.
