By a practitioner in Taiwan

During a recent discussion with several practitioners, I heard someone say that the main task in telling people the facts of Falun Gong is to ask them to quit the Communist party. I may not have heard the complete story, but I feel that asking people to quit the party is not the ultimate goal. Rather, our ultimate goal should be to have people see the Communist party's vile nature, and to let them truly see the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. This way people will not be against Dafa, and will have a meaningful future.

It would certainly be great if people decide to quit the party upon hearing the facts of the persecution, but those who are poisoned more severely by the evil party may feel uneasy when being urged to quit. We need to be easier on them in this situation and give them more time. A person will definitely decide to quit the party once he truly recognizes the facts. It would not be wise for us to force anyone to immediately make a decision upon hearing the facts. If we insist, we are probably unconsciously attached to things like hoping that everyone quits the party, wanting the Communist party to collapse quickly or hoping that our cultivation ends soon. If we target getting people to quit the Communist party as our main goal it is not consistent with taking saving people as the most important thing.

The fundamental purpose of telling people the facts is to demonstrate our benevolence toward sentient beings and to give them a future. It is not to simply do good deeds. It is important for us to allow room for people to think for themselves. Also, some practitioners in Taiwan regard the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party published by The Epoch Times newsgroup, as the only material for telling the facts, and regard people's quitting the party as the main goal. I want to point out clearly that the Nine Commentaries were mainly promoted by the news media rather than Dafa practitioners. The purpose of the Nine Commentaries is to clear away obstacles for those who would not listen to the facts about Falun Gong or the persecution. The Nine Commentaries are not truth-clarification materials like have been using for years to save sentient beings. The Minghui/Clearwisdom website has reminded practitioners of this already.

Materials illustrating the facts of Falun Gong are the most important information to distribute to people. The Nine Commentaries are only one tool we can use to clear away obstacles to being saved that the Communist party has created for people. However, they are only to be used temporarily in this phase of history. Before, during, and after the time when gods completely eliminate the evil party, practitioners need to tell people about the persecution that Falun Gong has endured.

By the way, we need to distribute the truth-clarification materials and the Nine Commentaries separately. To distribute nothing but the Nine Commentaries, however, is not exactly correct.
