The Effects of Practitioners' Energy in Validating Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) We all know that the energy from our sending forth righteous thoughts has a large influence when we clarify the facts about Falun Gong. Here I would like to discuss the effect that the energy in a practitioner's verbal or written language has on validating Dafa.
The other day I told a former colleague, whom I had not seen for a long time, about Dafa and quitting the Communist Party. He told me that he was going to have dinner with a friend later. I thought that it would be good if he could tell his friend about Dafa. This was just wishful thinking on my part. It turned out that later he indeed talked it over with his friend. He also gave his friend a software program enabling him to circumvent the web blockade.
When I was studying Dafa the other night, I read "The Sixth Talk:" "Your Thoughts Have to be Proper." It says: "Let me put it this way: if you have a certain amount of energy, the words you say have an effect..."
"An ordinary person is really weak, and all his messages are unstable and apt to go through some changes." (Zhuan Falun) From this I realized that whether or not my former colleague would talk to his friend about Dafa was not pre-determined at the time. Since now is a special time when the Fa rectification of the cosmos is taking place, a person's life does not have everything exactly predetermined, since one's attitude toward Fa-rectification may change over time. At this moment if we say or write something righteous, it may have a positive impact because of our power and energy. The matter may then be determined at that time.
Teacher told us that we should not try to tell a person's fortune, so as to avoid doing a bad deed unintentionally. But Teacher also told us about the principle that every speech or action produces good and bad impacts at the same time. In other words, if we apply this principle to the right things, such as saving sentient beings, our words or actions can have a positive effect. "You know, when we truly cultivate we want benign messages and we want to assimilate to the nature of the universe. Shouldn't you care about Goodness? Assimilating with True, Good, Endure, to the nature of the universe--you've got to live by Good." ("The Eighth Talk" from Zhuan Falun) If we want to save a person or want him to be good, even if our thoughts may not have a determining impact (after all, his own will is the determining factor), at least it is a positive message. It can have a good impact when his message is unstable.
Therefore we need to convey more positive messages when we talk either verbally or in writing to people about the facts of Falun Gong, or when we communicate with fellow practitioners. We should not arbitrarily project negativity on anything before it is settled. We should neither criticize nor comment on fellow practitioner's or ordinary people's shortcomings (but offering suggestions or feedback out of compassion is good). This way we can avoid doing bad deeds unintentionally, and save sentient beings. We also need to write positive articles and send them to the Clearwisdom website to share with people.
