1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Gai Chunlin Tortured to Death
In the middle of April 2005, more than 70 officers from the Fushun City National Security Bureau and from the No.1 Division of the City Police Department arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Gai Chunlin from Nankouqian Town in Qingyuan County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province. Mr. Gai was tortured to death in less than twelve days. The police wanted to cremate his body in the city. Mr. Gai's wife had no choice but to live in exile to avoid the persecution.
2. [Qing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Guo Zhiwei Arrested for Distributing Falun Dafa Truth-Clarifying Material
Mr. Guo Zhiwei, 30 years old, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Guoliutun Village, Qing County, Hebei Province. At 9:00 p.m. on April 16, 2005, personnel from the Petroleum Police Station arrested him when he was distributing truth-clarifying materials at the residential area of the No.1 Petroleum Machinery Factory in Qing County. Police handcuffed him to a chair in the police station for 17 hours. They also beat his jaw so severely it became bruised and his face swelled. Later, the police brought him to the Bohai Petroleum Police Station, Renqiu City for detention. Mr. Guo is presently staging a hunger strike.

3. [Liancheng County, Fujian Province] Practitioner Ms. Tong Zhangmei Arrested for Distributing Falun Gong Truth-Clarifying Materials
From October 2, 2002, until September 2004, practitioner Ms. Tong Zhangmei was held at a forced labor camp in Fuzhou City. On March 26, 2005, she was arrested for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials and has been held at the Liancheng County Police Department, Fujian Province.

4. [Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province] Ms. Yang Wenying and Ms. Ma Xueyan Arrested
In early 2005, "610 Office" personnel again arrested 36-year-old practitioner Ms. Yang Wenying from Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province and sentenced her to one year of forced labor. Ms. Yang and her family filed an appeal with the local court.
In early 2005, certain special agents from the National Security Department ransacked the home of 60-year-old practitioner Ms. Ma Xueyan from Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province. Soon afterwards, personnel from the "610 Office" at the local police department arrested her. On March 9, based on an order from the city "610 Office" and from the Political and Judiciary Committee, the authorities from the police department, procurators and courts secretly sentenced her to three months of forced labor on the charge "organizing and obstructing the execution of law."
5. [Liaoning Province] Wanjia Forced Labor Camp Authorities Persecuted and Extorted Money from Practitioner Mr. Yu Yuejin
In the spring of 2003, practitioner Mr. Yu Yuejin, who lives in Harbin City, was sentenced to forced labor and held in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp.
In October 2004, because of extended persecution in the camp, Mr. Yu Yuejin suffered from heart disease. The police ordered his family to pay 4,000 Yuan for his medical treatment, so Mr. Yu's little sister handed in 4,000 Yuan. However, the next day the police took Yu to have a check-up, and did not mention anything about Yu's diseases or treatments when they came back. Thus, the police took the 4,000 themselves and never used it for his medical treatment.
On around November 20, 2004, a police officer told Mr. Yu "to have a talk" with him; however, instead of "talking," Na Chunbo, a team chief and a policeman tortured him. Na Chunpo brutally kicked Mr. Yu's head and Mr. Yu lapsed into a coma. At 11:00 p.m. Mr. Yu was sent to the Wanjia Hospital and was taken back to the Forced Labor Camp the second day.
In early February 2005, police authorities told Mr. Yu's family to pay 3,000 Yuan and they would then release him before the Chinese New Year. His little sister paid the amount, but they didn't release him until March. In this way, the police extorted a total of 7,000 Yuan from the family.
6. [Guizhou Province] The Police Arrest Practitioner Dr. He Yufang
On April 16, 2005, the police from the 5708 Factory arrested practitioner Dr. He Yufang, a doctor from the Guizhou Province 5708 Factory Hospital, which is in her hometown in Hunan Province. Her whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Li Zhidi's Whole Family Arrested
Practitioner couple Li Zhidi from the Lindong Mining Division, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, and their sons Li Ping and Li Yong were arrested. Relatives have taken their four-year-old younger son, Li Ping, from the police. The others' whereabouts are not known.
8. [Fenggang County, Guizhou Province] Chen Sujing and Others Arrested
Between January 27 and February 2, 2005, personnel from the Guiyang City Police Department ganged up with those from the Fenggang County Police Department and arrested practitioners Yuan, Wu Mingju, Chen Sujing, Ouyang Yiping and others. They are being held at the No.2 Detention Center in Zunyi City. Their families are not allowed to visit them and lawyer's are not allowed to assist in their defense.

9. [Gongyi County, Henan Province] Jiao Yuzhen and Li Huicai Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials
On April 15, 2005, practitioners Jiao Yuzhen and Li Huicai from Gongyi County, Henan Province were arrested when distributing truth-clarifying materials and have been held in a detention center for 15 days. Their detention term is over, but the police refuse to release them. They have been transferred to the 339 Huachu Hotel. It is said that seven practitioners were arrested but their names are unknown.
10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Du Yunhong Arrested
On March 31, 2005, personnel from the Bianfang Police Station in Dalianwan Town arrested practitioner Ms. Du Yunhong from Dalianwan Town, Dalian City, Liaoning Province when she was working with an environmental reservation team. The police searched Ms. Du's home and she is still being held.

11. [Guangdong Province] Security Guards at Guangdong Industry University Brutally Beat Practitioner Liang Zihui
It was reported that on the afternoon of January 24, 2005, when practitioner Liang Zihui was at Guangdong Province Industry University, three or four security guards pressed him/her on the ground and beat him black and blue because Liang Zihui resisted arrest. Later, on January 25, they sent Liang to the Wushan Police Station and transferred him/her to the Tianhe Detention Center. A person released from the detention center reported that Liang Zihui has been bleeding for more than 20 days. His/her body was severely injured.
12. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Policemen from Chifeng City Arrest Ms. Yang Guizhi at School
Ms. Yang Guizhi, 47 years old, is the principal at the Wujia Town Secondary School in the Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, Autonomous Region. On April 29, 2005, when she took a taxi, she clarified the truth to the driver. The driver, deceived by government propaganda, reported her to the Pingzhuang Police Department. In the afternoon, personnel from the Wujia Town Police Station went to the school and arrested her. They also confiscated her computer and searched all the teachers' offices.
Ms. Yang is locked up at the Pingzhuang Detention Center in the Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia AR.
In addition, Qu Xiuqin is also being held at the Pingzhuang Detention Center and has been on a hunger strike more than twenty days.

13. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Zhang Feng, on a Hunger Strike for Many Days, Arrested and Removed from the Hospital
Zhang Feng, a practitioner working at the Shiyan Primary School, was arrested. On the morning of May 7, 2005, several perpetrators in a white minivan took the practitioner from the Dongchangfu Hospital in Liaocheng City. S/he had been on a hunger strike for many days. Zhang Feng was extremely weak.
14. [Heilongjiang Province] The Police at Daqing City Prison Lock Practitioner Mr. Jin Sheng onto a Metal Chair
On April 30, 2005, Li Tie, the political section chief, went to the No.7 Ward and cut all of practitioner Mr. Jin Sheng's non-prison regulation-clothes into pieces. Mr. Jin argued with Li Tie and requested permission to wear his own clothes, but Li Tie refused and locked him into a small cell. Mr. Jin still didn't cooperate with him, so Li Tie locked him onto a metal chair.
15. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiao Kaiping Arrested
Ms. Xiao Kaiping learned Falun Gong before July 20, 1999. Her two daughters also began to learn Falun Gong. After July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal but was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp for three years. She has suffered various inhuman tortures. After being released she went back home and began a small fruit business, but the policemen often harass her and her family.
One day in April 2005, someone reported her two daughters to the police when they were reading truth-clarifying materials at classrooms in Guanghan City's No.6 High School. Jiang Tianxing from the National Security Section of the City Police Department led several people to search Ms. Xiao's house.
In the morning on April 13, when Mr. Xiao was selling fruit at the Jinlun Market, plainclothes policemen forcibly took her to the Jinlun Police Station. She was released in the afternoon.
At about 10:30 a.m. on April 14, when Ms. Xiao was at the Xinglong Market, plainclothes police and personnel from the Xinglong Police Station dragged her into a police car. Her present whereabouts are unknown.
