My Experience in Quitting the CCP
By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China
(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997 in China. I
would like to share my experience of withdrawing from the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP). As soon as I saw Teacher's new article, "Turning the Wheel Toward the
Human World," I thought that I should declare my withdrawal from the CCP. I
clarified the truth to my colleagues, and informed them about the Nine
Commentaries on the Communist Party. One of my colleagues asked me,
"Now that you think the CCP is not good, why do you still remain a CCP
member?" I said that I was thinking of withdrawing my membership but then
realized that this might be a hint from Teacher through an ordinary person. When
I got home, I saw an article about a fellow practitioner's experience of
withdrawing from the CCP. He had declared his withdrawal on the website set up
for this purpose and in his institution as well. I thought that a thorough
withdrawal in this manner was correct, as it would pave the way for other people
to also quit the party. After some deliberation, I decided to deliver my
withdrawal statement to the party organization. First, I handed in my withdrawal statement to the group head of the Party and
told her the truth about why I was withdrawing. She did not dare to accept it
and asked me to deliver it to the local Party Secretary. When the other CCP
members in our workplace heard of this they said, "Are you crazy? If you
really do that, all of us will get into trouble with the leaders." I had
not realized the CCP's evil policy of involving others through intimidation and
peer pressure. Not wanting anybody else to get involved, I decided to handle
this matter myself. When I went back home, I wondered why the group head had not accepted the
statement. After studying the Fa, I became clear that my actions
were not aligned with the standard of the Fa and with the three
things required by Teacher. The problem was that I had the attachments of
fear and of validating myself. These attachments had to be given up, so I
thought it would be better to just quit the CCP first, and then this could be
used as an introduction for clarifying the truth of Falun Gong and the Nine
Commentaries. Consequently, the Secretary accepted my statement. I then
clarified the truth to the deputy head of the Party. From then on, I have never
attended any activities of the CCP, and have quit the evil Party completely.
