(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Zhou Jinpeng from Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has endured ongoing persecution because of practicing Falun Dafa. The authorities have had him on a most-wanted list for the past three years. He was abducted on September 2, 2004, and was transferred to the Chifeng Jail in Inner Mongolia in June 2005. Zhou Jinpeng has now been illegally sentenced to a seven-year prison term.

Mr. Zhou Jinpeng, 40, is an honest and kind person who worked in the Propaganda Department of the Tongliao Power Plant in Inner Mongolia. In 2000, Mr. Zhou wrote six letters to the leaders of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee telling them the truth about Falun Gong. The 610 Office intercepted his letters. Then they used them as proof of his "crime," and as an excuse to detain and torture him. Later, because Mr. Zhou posted and distributed flyers and letters that said "Falun Dafa is good," Tongliao police officers Shao Jun, Cui Liancheng, and Wang Bo ransacked his home twice, labeled him as "disrupting social order," detained him and extorted money in fines.

On July 8, 2002, the most vicious person in the local 610 Office, together with seven other people, including the head of the police department in the Power Plant, and the head of the local police station, broke into Zhou Jinpeng's home and confiscated his computer, printer, and many Dafa materials. With his righteous thoughts, Zhou Jinpeng escaped from his home on the third floor. But he couldn't return home anymore. The 610 Office put him on a wanted list. To try to catch Mr. Zhou, they abducted his brother and his great aunt and uncle, tortured and humiliated them. At the same time, the lawless people dismissed Zhou from his job. Zhou Jinpeng's son is 8 years old and was in elementary school. His wife had no job. The family completely lost their source of income.

The 610 Office had Zhou Jinpeng on the wanted list for three years while he moved from place to place without a home.

On June 30, 2004, the Clearwisdom website published Mr. Zhou's letter to President Hu Jintao and Prime Minister Wen Jiabao. The letter was also published in Tongliao Truth Words, 5th issue, to aid in truth clarification and in saving people in his region. Around July 20th, the Police Department in Liao City, Inner Mongolia, circulated over 140 arrest warrants for Zhou Jinpeng and offered rewards for his arrest. In the countryside, the arrest warrants included his picture for everyone to see.

At about 3 o'clock in the afternoon of September 2, 2004, 610 Office policeman Shao Jun and some others abducted Zhou Jinpeng at a truth clarification materials production site. The police confiscated a brand new digital all-in-one printer, a notebook, two external hard drives, a laser printer, a color inkjet printer, a scanner, a laminator and other equipment. The total loss to the practitioners was about 25,000 yuan.

When the police abducted Zhou Jinpeng, Shao Jun led the other policemen to beat him in public. Later, a witness said that the police handcuffed Zhou Jinpeng's hands behind his back, beat him to the ground, and then stepped on his face. Zhou Jinpeng kept shouting "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous practice! Restore Dafa's name!" (Note: there were three other practitioners abducted at the same time, who are now released.)

When the police reported their "accomplishment" to the higher level authorities, they declared that they had "uncovered" a major case, "confiscated" over 100 thousand yuan worth of equipment, and had arrested the "leader."

While he was illegally detained in Tongliao City's Hexi Detention Center, Zhou Jinpeng continued to protest the illegal detention. The policemen put metal shackles on him, and ordered the criminal inmates to shave his head with force.

In June 2005, Zhou Jinpeng was secretly transferred to Chifeng Jail in Inner Mongolia, which is also called the No. 4 Jail of Inner Mongolia (Chifeng No. 4 Jail). Now Zhou Jinpeng has been illegally sentenced to seven years in prison. We do not have information about his current condition.
