Details of the Persecution of Two Falun Gong Practitioners at Jinzhou and Benxi Forced Labor Camps in Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp brutally persecutes Falun Gong practitioners and attempts to forcibly brainwash practitioners who hold firmly to their beliefs. If practitioners do not relinquish their beliefs, they face torture, including shocks from electric batons, having their feet shackled, being handcuffed to a metal chair, being forced to sit on a small stool in one position for long durations, sleep deprivation, force-feeding, beatings and other cruelties. The following are details of the persecution of two Falun Gong practitioners at Jinzhou and Benxi Forced Labor Camps in Liaoning Province.

Li Wen (alias), a Falun Gong practitioner, was sent to Xinshou Team, Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp on April 29, 2004. On arrival, he refused to wear the prison uniform, and continued to practice Falun Gong. He was often beaten. On one occasion he was handcuffed for six days and nights. Four times, his feet were shackled and his hands were handcuffed to a metal chair for five days and nights. Li Wen's health deteriorated under those conditions.

Li Wen went on hunger strikes three times in order to protest the illegal detention. On September 15, 2004, the persecution of Li Wen was increased when Li Xinjiang, head of the Education Branch, and Wang Peng, a brigade head assigned a dozen people to torture him. The persecutors tied his legs up for two hours at a time, and they roughly inserted a feeding tube in and out of his nose to torture him, even when he was not on a hunger strike. This torture caused severe bleeding, the blood covering his face, his mouth and the feeding tube.

On September 21, Li Wen refused to read the so-called "Three Letters" renouncing Falun Gong, so he was sent to Xinshou Team by Bai Jinlong, the Second Team leader. While detained in Xinshou Team, Li Wen was persecuted by seven to eight people, including the brigade head Wang Peng, officer Chen Changbin and Yi Mingde. He was hung up with both hands handcuffed, while Chen Changbin and others hit his knees, ankles, feet and ribs with sticks. They also burned his fingers and a toe with cigarettes and wiped excrement into his mouth and nostrils.

On September 24, officers Yang Tinglun and Zhang Chunfeng were forced to bring Li Wen to the hospital to have an X-ray when his ankles swelled up to the size of his thigh. He could not walk for a month. One of his handcuffs had broken open while he struggled desperately due to the pain. Li Wen's fingers have still not recovered from the cigarette burns.

Another practitioner, Wang Lin, was also tortured at that time. He was sent to Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp on September 9, 2004. On September 15, five people lead by Bai Jinlong tortured him. After his legs were tied up for three hours, officers Wang Zhijiang and Tiejun stepped on his legs. One officer weighed 209 pounds and the other weighed over 198 pounds. Both of Wang Lin's legs turned black. They thought Wang Lin would have to have both legs amputated. In the end, Wang Lin was rendered unable to walk for a long time.

Currently, Li Wen and Wang Lin have both been sent to Benxi Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. As soon as they arrived they were attacked by collaborators. Against their wills they succumbed to the brainwashing. Later, however, they regretted their mistake and declared their so-called "transformation" null and void. Since then, the heads of Benxi Forced Labor Camp became very angry, and have started to persecute the two practitioners even more severely.
