(Clearwisdom.net) The Falun Gong practitioners' six-year anti-persecution efforts are magnificent acts that have touched the hearts of many. A group of kind and innocent ordinary people stood firm when confronted with an unprecedented genocidal persecution. Six years is but an instant in the long history of mankind. Yet, during the past six years, Jiang and the other perpetrators tried to suppress kindness, conscience and belief in gods, which are inherent in human nature. The battle between the righteous and the evil has lasted six years.
The perpetrators seemed to have every advantage in the persecution: they have the government machinery and the media at their disposal; the Chinese people have been brainwashed through decades of political movements and persecution, and most of them now believe in "protecting myself is the wisest thing to do." That is why they act with indifference in the face of the suffering of others; after decades of abject poverty, the majority of Chinese people also regard material interest as the top priority. The opening up of a tremendous market that had been suppressed for decades holds tremendous appeal for the West, and human rights and freedoms take second place to financial interest.
Under these circumstances, the CCP and Jiang's group started the massive persecution against Falun Gong. Some people said this persecution is not as severe as Nero's persecution of Christians, and it's not as targeted as Hitler's massacre of Jews. No tanks or machine guns were used as during the June 4th 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre. The difference lies in the fact that the times are different, and not because the CCP has improved. The persecution wouldn't be able to last if the CCP had done it openly, like Nero or Hitler.
In fact, the most despicable aspects of the CCP and Jiang's group are the deception and concealment of the persecution. These vile people call the illegal detention of Falun Gong practitioners "sprinkling rain in the spring," and claim suicide when a practitioner is tortured to death; they call forced brainwashing in solitary confinement "beginning of a new life;" call explaining the facts and exposure of lies "disrupting the social order;" and call kind and innocent Chinese citizens "counterrevolutionary forces."
The CCP portrays itself as the savior of the people while depriving tens of millions of people of their belief, and using the media, the judicial system, the military, the police, the counter-intelligence system, the political system, the government and the diplomatic system to launch a worldwide persecution. The CCP made up the craftiest lies and set up the most stringent information blockade; it used the cruelest torture methods and made persecution of Falun Gong the government's top priority. The CCP even denied the existence of the 610 Office, the terrorist organization established to persecute Falun Gong. The CCP dispatched a large diplomatic team to the United Nations and Western governments to spread vicious slander about Falun Gong. It has also made dirty deals with foreign governments in the financial and political arena; the whole world, therefore, blatantly ignores or even unwittingly assists in this ruthless persecution. Were Nero or Hitler able to do this? No other regime in the world compares to the CCP in terms of its deception.
When a serious crime occurs that touches people's conscience, people would naturally step forward and cry out. The CCP conceals its crimes to such an extent that they don't provoke people, because people are not willing to offend a dictatorship with a history of violence without any ironclad evidence.
All of this makes the persecution tremendously evil.
Evil, though, has never been able to defeat righteousness. Falun Gong practitioners didn't collapse in the face of tribulation.
In the past several years, Falun Gong practitioners inside and outside China weathered the storm despite overwhelming difficulties unknown to the outside. They went to Tiananmen Square and unfurled banners; they distributed truth clarification flyers in the streets, protested in front of the Chinese consulates and broke through information blockades. These brave and courageous people also made phone calls and mailed letters, participated in community events, contacted foreign VIPs, started a TV station, a radio station and newspapers. Their truth clarification materials production sites are found all over China; they broadcast truth clarification videos through cable TV, filed lawsuits against head perpetrator Jiang Zemin and his accomplices, and published the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to expose the vile nature of the CCP. Falun Gong practitioners have grown stronger. Their truth clarification efforts have expanded in scale, and they have completely exposed the lies and persecution of the CCP and Jiang's group.
As the evildoers constantly changed their persecution tactics, Dafa practitioners constantly expanded the range and depth of truth clarification. They changed their methods from passively clearing up the lies to actively exposing the crimes. One major misconception about Falun Gong exists: whether or not the practitioners are getting involved in politics.
"Politics" is probably the most complex concept in the culture of the CCP. Why is politics such a sensitive subject in a country where the people cannot freely participate in politics?
The answer is simple: the CCP forced a "political life" on every Chinese citizen. Mandatory classes about politics and distorted history are taught from grade school to university; a mouthpiece propaganda department is a part of every work unit; all media serve the CCP, and they instill the CCP's political concepts in people. The CCP's censorship of positive outside information results in the uniformity of information sources for the Chinese public. After long-term brainwashing, people take on the CCP's mindset as their own, and they think about and look at things with the CCP's ideology. They have even passed on the culture of politics and terror to their children, unique to the CCP and formed over decades worth of political movements.
In China nowadays, people are only concerned about their material well-being and physical pleasure, and are apparently not concerned with politics. In fact, the political element has become an integral but hidden part of people's minds. It's not that people have been freed from politics because they are afraid of politics; to the contrary, their almost instinctive avoidance of politics is a telling display of the CCP's political culture. The CCP places an emphasis on economic development to cover up and to serve its political goals. The CCP is the source of the political evil. A person is getting involved in politics as long as he is assisting or cooperating with the CCP. The CCP labels anti-persecution efforts without any political goals "getting involvement in politics" to dodge moral responsibilities. The CCP culture is poisoning human nature.
Falun Gong practitioners will help people to truly free themselves from the CCP culture and the dye vat of politics by exposing the Jiang group's lies and villainous nature. They will help people to see through this persecution of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance started by the CCP and Jiang.
The persecution is at the end of its strength. When history turns this page, and when people look back at Falun Gong practitioners' relentless effort in opposing the persecution, they will recognize the significance of this historic play for the future of mankind.
