The Sorrow of a Ten-Year-Old Girl

(Clearwisdom.net) Ten-year-old Zhaoming used to be a healthy and happy girl. However, four years ago, a sudden misfortune separated Zhaoming from her parents and caused deep sorrow in her heart.

Her parents, Mr. Ma Benshun and Ms. Fan Xiuqin, lived in Shuangqiao District, Chengde City. Due to their refusal to give up the practice of Falun Gong, they were arrested by the police when they made materials to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Witnessing her parents being arrested by the police, Zhaoming cried until she lost her voice. Without anyone to care for her, she was sent to her grandmother's home in the mountains by a kindhearted man.

Her parents were sentenced to fourteen years in prison. They were held in Baoding Prison and Shijiazhuang Prison of Hebei Province.

Four years ago, she was a carefree child basking in her parents' love. However, when we saw her again four years later, she looked at us with dull eyes. We felt so much sorrow and told her, "We came here to see you."

"Thanks," she replied in a very low voice.

We asked her, "Do you miss your mom and dad?"

"Yes, I miss both of them." She averted her eyes and walked away, not wanting people to see her sadness.

Her grandmother said that she was often in a sullen mood. The arrest of her parents pained her deeply and she became subdued from missing her parents.
