Finland: Anti-Torture Exhibition Exposes the Truth about China's State Terrorism (Part 2 -- Jyvaskyla) (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners held an anti-torture exhibit in
Jyväskylä on the 18th and 19th of June 2005. The exhibition exposed the brutal
human rights abuses that Falun Gong practitioners have been the victims of for
almost six years. The peaceful Falun Gong exercises were also demonstrated to
the public. Practitioners live by Falun Gong's principles of
Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and strive to improve themselves according
to these principles. The Chinese Communist Party is responsible for the deaths
of over 2,600 Falun Gong practitioners. The anti-torture exhibition features
simulations of a few of the torture methods used on Falun Gong practitioners who
refuse to renounce their beliefs. Human rights workers have documented over
38,000 specific cases of torture or severe abuse against Falun Gong
practitioners. The people of Jyvaskyla were very supportive. Throughout the two days, many
people came forward to say, "You are doing the right thing," and
"It's good that somebody does this." One girl was shocked about the conditions that practitioners have to endure
in the forced labour camps in China. After looking through the exhibition, she
brought her friend along to sign the petition calling for an end to the
persecution. Part one can be seen at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2005/7/3/62511.html Originally published in Finnish at http://fi.clearharmony.net/articles/200506/2906.html Source http://clearharmony.net/articles/200507/27541.html
