By a Falun Gong Practitioner in Jilin Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) My sister is a Falun Gong practitioner. She frequently told her husband the truth about the practice and persecution of Falun Dafa and asked him to read Falun Dafa books. My brother-in-law, an intellectual, believed only in scientific theories and social practices and didn't believe in the wonder and greatness of Falun Gong. He didn't understand and even opposed my sister's practice. He felt that it was all right for practitioners to do the exercises for healing illness and keeping fit, but not to oppose the Communist Party and the national leaders. He therefore often interfered my sister's clarifying the truth.

Last year, my brother-in-law was diagnosed with a gallstone. It was serious and painful and at times he thought he would die. My sister sent him to hospital. He was diagnosed as having a serious type of gallstone and cholangitis. He needed stay in hospital for the treatment. In only two days, he spent more than 1,000 yuan without any improvement. He said, "Lets go home. At 800 yuan a day, this hospital is too expensive. I can't afford it."

When my brother-in-law could no longer endure the pain he asked for my sister's help. My sister told him that she couldn't do anything for the pain, but Falun Dafa could. She told him to shout, "Falun Dafa is good" to eliminate the pain. My brother-in-law couldn't stand the pain anymore, so he shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good!" After several times, the pain suddenly disappeared and he seemed to be normal again. He said, "I only shouted, "Falun Dafa is good," and it stopped the pain. Falun Dafa is really effective."

My brother-in-law went back hospital the next day to be examined. The gallstones had disappeared. He asked a doctor what kind of medicine could remove the gallstones. The doctor said, "It's impossible, there is no such kind of medicine in the whole world that could remove the gallstones. Medication could only diminish the inflammation and reduce the pain and suffering. If you want to remove the gallstones, you have to go through surgery, but your gallstones are in a very dangerous position, and surgery can't usually be performed under these conditions. The only thing we can do is keep you under observation." Upon hearing that, my brother-in-law understood that Falun Dafa is more sophisticated and profound than science. He admired Falun Dafa from the bottom of his heart.

After his illnesses were cured, my brother-in-law started to play mahjong and drink daily. He forgot about Falun Dafa completely. Later the illness returned. My brother-in-law was a member of Chinese Communist Party. It controlled his mind. He said to my sister, "The doctor misdiagnosed me last time." After saying this, he felt the pain coming back in big way and once again found it unbearable. My sister said, "I told you to shout "Falun Dafa is good", just do it." My brother-in-law did. Again, the pain disappeared. They went to hospital and found there were more gallstones and his condition was even worse than it had been before. The doctor said, "You have to stay in hospital for the treatment." My brother-in-law said, "I shouted "Falun Dafa is good" last time and gallstones disappeared. This time I lacked sincerity. I didn't keep reciting "Falun Dafa is good", which caused my illness to return. This time I will practice Falun Gong." The doctor was surprised.

My brother-in-law went home and started to read Falun Dafa books. He went to his mahjong club to tell his experience with Falun Dafa. He told people that he had benefited greatly because of Falun Dafa and how Falun Dafa is extraordinary. My sister started to talk about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party with him, urging him to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party. He said, "Let's talk about this later." But he changed his negative attitude toward Falun Dafa. He knew in his heart that Falun Dafa is great and miraculous and that it had saved his life. He began to support my sister in studying Fa, doing exercises and telling the truth about Falun Dafa. He knew that the evil Communist Party is a bad thing, but he still has the stubborn attachment to saving face. He has yet to gain a better understanding.

In my brother-in-law's case, we can see Teacher's immeasurable mercy, which tolerates all living beings. He is also eliminating karma that can't ever be paid back in full while enduring much for every living being. He is waiting for all sentient beings who've lost their true nature to awaken and be saved by the truth spread by Dafa disciples.
