Qitaihe, Heilongjiang Province: Four Practitioners Unlawfully Sentenced to Prison (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Four Falun Gong practitioners from Qitaihe, Heilongjiang Province have recently been arrested and unlawfully sentenced to prison. Details are below.

Practitioner Ms. Gao Guizhen was born on August 9, 1953 and has a middle-school diploma. Her home is at the Electronic Motor Factory Residential Area, Beishan Street, Xinxing District, Qitaihe, Heilongjiang Province. She was unlawfully detained for 15 days on December 21, 2000 at the Xinxing Police Sub-station. On the morning of March 6, 2003, over ten plainclothes police officers suddenly entered her home and dragged her to a police van. She was handcuffed with her hands behind her back to a tiger bench in the police substation and interrogated by successive groups of four policemen. On April 2, 2003 Gao Guizhen was unlawfully detained in the Number One Detention Center. Recently, she was sentenced to a 4-year prison term at Harbin Women's Prison. On the afternoon of March 10, 2004, Prison Director Zhou Ying ordered criminal offenders to torture Ms. Gao by handcuffing her hands behind her back and suspending her from a bunk bed with only her toes touching the ground ("High Hanging from Behind"). Ms. Gao fainted from the pain. On March 18, because she refused to wear a criminal offender's name badge, Ms. Gao was tortured with the same method again. On May 14, for not reporting her name, Gao Guizhen was brutally beaten by the criminal offenders and handcuffed to a bed with her hands behind her back. She was left for 23 hours in this position. On the evening of May 15, over 10 criminal offenders, including Su Xiaoguang, Chi Fengjie, and Hu Fengying held Ms. Gao on the floor, force-fed her and tortured her again with "High Hanging from Behind." From March 25 to March 28, 2005, 14 Falun Gong practitioners did not answer roll call. Wang Yuxian scratched Ms. Gao's face.

Mr. Li Yuzhuo was born on October 16, 1973 and has a high-school diploma. His home is at the Electronic Motor Factory Residential Area, Beishan Street, Xinxing District, Qitaihe, Heilongjiang Province. He is an employee of Qitaihe Industry and Business Bureau. For persisting in practicing Falun Gong and clarifying the truth, he was unlawfully detained for 15 days on March 1, 2003 in the Xinxing Police Substation. On April 2, 2003, Mr. Li was unlawfully imprisoned in the Number One Detention Center. Recently he was sentenced to a 4-year prison term and is being held at Mudanjiang Prison.

Mr. LiuYangxi was born on July 24, 1971 and has a college diploma. He lived at Beishan Street, Xinxing District, Qitaihe, Heilongjiang Province. He is a teacher at the Number One High School of Qitai Coal Bloc. Because he persisted in practicing Falun Gong and clarifying the truth, he was unlawfully detained on March 20, 2003 in the Xinxing Police Substation. On May 15, 2003, Mr. Liu was arrested and jailed at the Number Two Detention Center. Recently, he was sentenced to 3-year prison term and is being held at Mudanjiang Prison.

Ms. Wei Limei, wife of Liu Yangxi, was abducted at the same time as her husband and unlawfully sentenced to a 6-year prison term. She is imprisoned at Harbin Women's Prison. The couple has a 7-year-old child at home, staying with his grandmother who is ill.
