A Brief Description of the Persecution of Some Practitioners in Qingyang City, Gansu Province

Mr. Xu Feng, a resident of Qingcheng County, Qingyang City, was sentenced to 14 years in prison because of his practice of Falun Gong.

Mr. Guan Qiang, an oil field worker in Qingyang City, was sentenced to 12 years in prison because of his Falun Gong practice.

Mr. Ma Yuling, a resident in Huan County, Qingyang City, was sentenced to seven years in prison because of his belief in Falun Gong.

Duan Xiaoyan, a resident in Zhenyuan County, has been illegally detained since March 2000.

Ms. Zhang Wenjuan, a resident of Zhenyuan County, was sent to a forced labor camp for a year the first time she went out to tell people the truth about Falun Gong. The second time she spoke out she was sentenced to prison for 14 years. Now she is disabled as a result of the persecution.

Mr. Tian Runhai was arrested by the Heshui County Police Department when he was distributing flyers in March 2005. He has been imprisoned ever since.

Mr. Chui Tianxiang was arrested in March 2005 by the Heshui County Police Department while he was distributing flyers. He has been illegally imprisoned ever since and has been severely tortured.

Qiang Weixiu was sent to labor camps three times.

Mr. Xi Haoxue was monitored after being released from the labor camp the first time he was sent there. The second time he was sent there he was brutally tortured. Those responsible stuck steel needles into his lower body. The pain was so intense that he bit off his own tongue. Then they sentenced him to seven years in prison.

Tian Suohai and Duan Weijun were illegally sentenced to prison terms.

Mr. Chen Jianzhan was tortured to near death during his detention. After releasing him, the authorities deprived him of his job and he was forced to stay away from home to avoid re-arrest.

Ms. Jiao Lili was held three times and sent to a forced labor camp once. Then she was sentenced to seven years in prison, all because she practices Falun Dafa.

Mr. Gao Lijin was detained seven times for no legal reason, and sent to a forced labor camp once. Then he was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Mr. Liu Zhirong was detained five times and sent to a forced labor camp once. Then he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Practitioner Kou Ping has been held in jail without evidence since May 2004.

Practitioner Wang Caiqin was sentenced to four years in prison.

Practitioner Sun Lifang was sentenced to four years in prison.

Li Ruihuang was put in a labor camp for one and a half years, followed by a sentence of four years in prison, for practicing Falun Gong.

Zhang Jiyun was sentenced to two years in prison without cause.

Ms. Shi Xiqin was illegally detained three times, and sent to a forced labor camp for a year. Now she has been sent to a forced labor camp for three years.

Lu Xiangdong was sentenced to five years in prison with no legal cause.

Cao Dong was illegally sentenced to four years in prison.

Xu Huixian was sentenced to three years in prison for no legal reason.
