Li Huzhe from Yanji City Requires Constant Care After Being Persecuted in Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) According to news in April 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Huzhe, who has been sentenced to three years in prison, is being persecuted in Jilin Province Prison. The persecution has caused his body to become so extremely weak that he is unable to take care of himself.

Li Huzhe, from Yanji City, Jilin Province, was arrested by the National Security Team of Yanji City Police Department in November 2002. The Yanbian Prefecture 610 Office, the Yanbian Prefecture Police Department, Yanji City 610 Office, Yanji City Police Department and Yilan Police Station in Yanji City used dozens of police vehicles and officers to surround and arrest him.

When they arrested Li Huzhe, Xu Xiaofeng and Shi Zhide, the team leaders of the National Security Team of Yanji City Police Department, brutally beat Li Huzhe and verbally abused him.

The National Security Team took Li Huzhe to the eighth floor of the Yanji City Police Department. The police handcuffed and shackled him, and pulled up the foot shackle and attached it around his neck. In order to force him to give a confession, they tortured him by squeezing his body to the point where his neck was only fifteen centimeters (6 in.) away from his feet for a long period of time. He couldn't straighten himself at the waist. The police continuously tortured him for three days. During the three days, they didn't allow him to use the restroom, drink water, eat food, or sleep. His mind and body were under extreme pain and stress. Later, he was sentenced to three years in prison and transferred to the Jilin Province Prison for continued persecution.

According to news from Jilin Province Prison in 2003, Li Huzhe's body was very weak and covered with boils. Moreover, he could not eat or sleep.

In April 2005, more news came out of the Jilin Province Prison indicating that Li Huzhe's body was extremely weak, and he could not take care of himself. He was transferred to the Jilin Province Labor Camp and a specialist was assigned to take care of him. After they heard this news, his family went to the Jilin Province Prison and requested to see him. But the prison refused their request because he firmly insists on practicing Falun Dafa. The prison said his case is special and they strictly block any news about him from getting out.

Li Huzhe's over seventy-year-old mother called the Jilin Province Labor Camp and firmly requested to talk to him on the phone. But the hospital attendant and the police would not transfer the call to him. Right now his mother has cataracts and both her eyes are nearly blind. She also has severe diabetes and cannot take care of herself. In addition, she worries about her son very much and cries every day in anguish.
