Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts Together Improved the Prison Environment

(Clearwisdom.net) When I was in Mudanjiang City Jail practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts together at the top of every hour. There were six Falun Dafa practitioners in our ward. Each practitioner was put into a separate cell in the prison building with one to three criminal inmates monitoring each of us. The practitioners were not allowed to speak to one another and could only pass paper notes to communicate.

One day some people came to visit the prison. The prison arranged for all the practitioners to be hidden in a yard. The practitioners from one jail ward sat together in a circle and talked with one another. I went to sit with them. After speaking a few words, one practitioner said, "It is the top of the hour. Let's send forth righteous thoughts." After sending forth righteous thoughts together, I suddenly understood why the jail ward could be viewed as a comparatively better environment. It was closely related to sending forth righteous thoughts together at the top of every hour.

After returning to the prison building, I wrote down my thoughts and what I saw on a piece of paper and passed it to the other practitioners in the same jail ward. I wanted to convince them to send forth righteous thoughts together at the top of every hour. Some practitioners did not take this matter to heart and did not consider it important.

One day a practitioner from our ward was locked in a solitary cell. I passed around pieces of paper asking the other practitioners in other jail wards to help us send forth righteous thoughts together to help that fellow practitioner. On the second day, we were gathered at the same table to do some tasks. I thought that this was a good chance to send forth righteous thoughts to correct the environment in our jail ward. I reported the time once every hour. The criminals monitoring us did not know what was happening, but the practitioners all knew that it was time to send forth righteous thoughts. In this way, the practice of sending forth righteous thoughts was started and the effect was very good. When we talked to one another, the criminals no longer interfered. Once the practitioners saw the powerful effect of sending forth righteous thoughts, the other practitioners also took it upon themselves to report the time at the top of every hour. After a few days, we could talk openly with one another. Even when the police were around we also talked to one another, and they saw but did not interfere. After finishing our tasks, we could also gather together in threes or fours and chat together. We talked about and shared our cultivation experiences and learned from one another, and everyone as a whole elevated very quickly.

For us, sending forth righteous thoughts together at the top of every hour resulted in improving the jail environment in a very short time. If every practitioner in every jail also does this, the whole environment will change. Master said,

"Why should you, a Dafa disciple, fear the evil ones when enduring persecution? The crux of the matter is that you have attachments. If not, do not endure passively, and face the evil people with righteous thoughts at all times. No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates.
