Practitioner Mr. Wang Dianren from Tonghua City, Jilin Province Tortured to Death

(Clearwisdom.net) After having been illegally sentenced to three years in prison, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Dianren from Tonghua City, Jilin Province was transferred to Sipingshiling Prison in Jilin Province on August 9, 2005. He died as a result of torture on August 15, 2005. More details follow:

Mr. Wang died at the age of 50. He was a Falun Gong practitioner from Tonghua City, Jilin Province. He worked as a bricklayer at a construction company. In 2001, he was illegally sentenced to two years in Xishan Forced Labor Camp in Tonghua City, but he was released several months later because of his faith and righteous thoughts. Since then, the police often harassed him at his home.

On February 5, 2005, Mr. Wang went to his daughter's home, but the police from Laozhan Police Station came shortly after his arrival and abducted him. Once at the Laozhan Police Station, the police kept shocking him with electric batons until he was unable to urinate. They also stripped off his clothes and forced him to stand outdoors for a long time in the mid- February weather in northeast China.

Next the police transferred him to Changliu Detention Center where the guards repeatedly beat him. Once a guard Mr. Liu Jian kicked Wang Dianren hard in his stomach after he shouted out, "Falun Dafa (or Falun Gong) is good." The kick severely injured Mr. Wang's spleen. The intense pain caused him to collapse and pass out. He never recovered from the internal injury.

The police did not notify Wang Dianren's family of the trial date and location. They held a secret trial in which Mr. Wang was illegally sentenced to three and a half a years in Sipingshiling Prison in Jilin Province. He was transferred there on August 9, 2005 and by August 15, 2005 he died as a result of torture.
