(Clearwisdom.net) On August 13, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Paris held an activity at Place d'Italie on the southeast bank of the River Seine to promote Falun Gong and expose the ongoing brutal persecution of practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party.

A lot westerners and Chinese stopped at the site to read more information
Colorful banners drew many people's attention, and so did photos detailing evidence of the persecution. People read leaflets distributed by practitioners, and some gave the thumbs up sign to encourage us. Although there were still some Chinese nationals who refused to accept leaflets, an increasing number of Chinese accepted them happily and said thanks. Some commented that the exercises were graceful, and a few even asked practitioners to teach them on the spot. People discussed about the persecution and many condemned the Chinese Communist Party's abuse of human rights. The truth about Falun Gong is reaching more and more people.

During the activity, a member of Amnesty International passed by. She listened to a practitioner's explanation of the background of the persecution, and wrote down details of our website. She said she would report it to Amnesty International and said she wished that basic human rights would be defended.
