My Experience Visiting a Fellow Practitioner Who Had Been Subjected to Persecution
By a practitioner in Heilongjiang Province
(Clearwisdom.net) At around 3:00 p.m. on May 2, 2005, Yang, the division
head of Changlin Forced Labor Camp, sent practitioner "A" home. Mr. A
was on the brink of death. As a fellow practitioner and neighbor, I went to his
home immediately. When I saw him, his face and body were swollen, and his eyes
were fixed and dull. It was said that he had been given oxygen before getting
into the vehicle that was to take him home just so he could make it there alive.
Looking at him, I recalled seeing him in the past, healthy and doing heavy
harvest work bunching corn stalks in the field on October 22. That was just last
year, before he was illegally arrested for not giving up Falun Gong practice,
and for posting a "Falun Dafa is Good" sign. Now, seeing how he had
been tortured into a mere skeleton, my fellow practitioners and I couldn't help
weeping. After doing the exercises the next morning it suddenly occurred to me that
since Mr. A had broken out of the evil den with righteous thoughts, Teacher
would bring him back to life. But his wife, "B," was not a
practitioner, so I wondered if she would understand what her husband had done. I went to A's home again and found his wife B packing her stuff and planning
to leave. I asked her, "What are you doing?" B said, "I'm
leaving." I said, "You cannot go. You're his wife. He cannot take care
of himself now. Your children are far away, and he will die without care. How
will you feel if he dies?" B said, "I also want him to be well. I need
him to harvest the corn in the field. But the doctor came and told me that my
husband had cirrhosis of the liver and ascites. He also told me that the labor
camp authorities had sent him back because he was dying. Otherwise they would
have sentenced him to three years in there. Why would they allow him to come
back so soon otherwise?" B started crying at this point and continued,
"I told him to go get treatment, such as an injection, but he refuses. If
he dies, what do I do? Who will take care of me? The corn in the field is ready
to be harvested, and I cannot find anyone to do it. Also, I have heart
disease." Seeing that this family was about to break up, as a practitioner, I had to do
something according to "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." I sent
forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil demons and rotten ghosts in other
dimensions that had been persecuting A's family, and I said very righteously,
"A was persecuted in the labor camp. He will not die. Since he is back, if
you take good care of him and give him enough nutrition, he will gradually
recover." B picked up a Medical Parole Certificate from her suitcase and
showed it to me. It said, "A's name, male, arrived at labor camp on
month/day/2004, for a term of three years. Presently, due to chest accumulating
fluid and lung inflammation in both lobes, is granted medical parole." I've studied Chinese medicine, so I checked A's tongue and found it was very
clear. I realized it was something transformed by Teacher. I said to B even more
firmly, "It's not cirrhosis of the liver and ascites. No IV is needed. If
you had him injected with drugs for liver cirrhosis, it would be the wrong
medicine and he could die from it. Just take good care of him. Don't worry about
the corn, either. Other practitioners will take care of that." B stopped
crying. Before I left, I said, "Take good care of A for the moment. All
difficulties can be overcome." I went home and discussed the issue with my wife, who is also a practitioner.
She found five practitioners and they finished harvesting all 39 rows of corn
for A. Soon, practitioners from many other places came to see A to show their
concern for the fellow practitioner. A can now read Zhuan Falun and practice the exercises
every day, and he can walk inside and out. His mind has become clear, and he
told me the following facts of his persecution in Changlin Forced Labor Camp.
Because he refused to write the three statements, the guard arranged
for two inmates to watch him. They wrapped a towel around his neck, and each
guard pulled on an end, choking the life out of him. He almost died of
suffocation. A hefty inmate later gave him a series of heavy blows, and A went
into a coma. The guard saw that A had passed out and sent him to Wanjia Labor
Camp Hospital, where the prison doctor gave him an IV. But as soon as A woke up,
he refused the treatment. So they had two people holding A's arm while they
continued the IV with unknown drugs. As soon as they left, A pulled out the
needle with his other hand and kicked the IV rack until it fell. They eventually gave up the idea of giving A injections and attempted to feed
him medicine. A refused again. He was too weak to eat on his own, so the inmates
fed him. Sometimes it was a piece of leavened bread, sometimes steamed bread. If
it was dinner, sometimes it was rice congee, without radishes or pickles. Since
A was unable to eat, these foods would be taken away untouched. Even in this
situation, A would send forth righteous thoughts every day and ask Teacher to
help him break out of the trap. A told himself, "This is not where I should
stay. I must get out and do the three things that Teacher has told
us to do." Finally, on the fifth day of the hunger strike, the division
head, Yang, called a taxi and sent him home. Twenty-five days have now passed. A can read the book and study the Fa
again, and he can walk outside. Moreover, since he is able to practice the
exercises again, A smiles like he did before. He told me, "Teacher has
purified my body once again and allowed me to come back to life. A few days ago
I passed many black, blood-clot-like things in my stool." I said, "Be
grateful to Teacher. This is the mighty power of Dafa. You must keep righteous
thoughts, send forth righteous thoughts on time, study the Fa more, practice the
exercises more and clarify the truth." He nodded, and his wife smiled. July 14, 2005
