(Clearwisdom.net) Retired middle school teacher Mr. Jia Boxiang from Chifeng Aohanqi Sidaowanzi Town, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region passed away in April 2001 because the police unceasingly harassed and persecuted him.

Jia Boxiang, 65, had many diseases such as high blood pressure, pulmonary emphysema, frequent dizziness, asthma, persistent cough, and weakness in his arms and legs. After cultivating Dafa for a few months, all of his illnesses disappeared.

On October 11, 1999, Gong Chuanxing, Diao Yulong, Dai Fengrong, and Huang X from Aohanqi Police Department State Security Division arrested Jia Boxiang under the pretense of tracing the contact between local practitioners and practitioners in other regions. They pressed his neck, clutched his hair and took him to the detention center where they continued persecuting him. They tried to extract a confession by torture and force him to write the three statements. They imprisoned him for two weeks.

After he was released, personnel from the state security division tracked and monitored him. They came to his home to harass him, and sent a special agent to brainwash him and to "help him to confess." Officers illegally came to Jia Boxiang's home to observe and monitor his activity every other day, with the excuse of providing "care." Furthermore, they arranged for neighbors from the Street Residents Committee to harass him twice a day. One after another they entered his home and searched for Dafa books and materials. He had no personal freedom.

With no escape, and harassed even by his neighbors, Jia Boxiang moved back to his hometown in the countryside--Sidaowanzi Town, Wudaowanzi Village in November 1999. But Gong Chuanxing, Diao Yulong, Li Fengjun and local police department leader Wang Huashuang along with Shi XX continued to harass and persecute him in new ways. He was deprived of personal freedom and the right to speak.

Having endured severe psychological and emotional stress for a long time, Jia Boxiang died in April 2001.
