Clarify the Truth Well with Pure Minds during Hu's Visit to North America

(Clearwisdom.net) From September 8 to September 16, Hu Jintao will visit Canada, Mexico and New York. This has provided an opportunity for Dafa disciples abroad, especially those in North America, to clarify the truth on a broad scale to people from all walks of life in the American and Canadian societies. At the same time, it also again provides an opportunity for Hu Jintao to further understand the truth in the free environments outside of China. This is a precious opportunity for a living being.

Because of Dafa disciples' joint efforts and contribution, Hu's visit to Canada has caused the Canadian government, media and public on a large scale to understand the truth even further.

Hu Jintao's next stop is New York. It is believed that more practitioners from various places will go to New York and take advantage of this rare opportunity to send righteous thoughts and clarify the truth. I want to discuss with everybody several issues in this article so we can righteously position our states of mind and better utilize Dafa disciples' compassion and righteous thoughts to save sentient beings during this truth-clarifying and Fa validating activity of historical significance.

Distinguish clearly the primary and secondary goals

Before and during Hu's current visit to North America, massive Chinese and western media attention was focused on Hu Jintao There were already related articles appearing one after anther on many overseas Chinese websites. Regarding Hu's visit, Dafa disciples should be sober-minded about the fact that Hu Jintao is only one being we want to clarify the truth to and to save. It is only his special position in this special time that makes him somewhat out of the ordinary compared to the average person. But "all ancient things have come for the Fa" (Hong Yin 2). The genuine human stage is set for Master to carry out Fa-rectification and for Dafa disciples to help Master. An average person does not play a leading role. As Dafa disciples, at any given time we must all orient ourselves toward truth-clarification, because saving people in the world is our basic mission.

While mentioning the example of the former Chinese premier in "Touring North America to Teach the Fa" (March 2002), Master said,

"Didn't it cross your mind: this is the Fa of the cosmos, so if humans want to attack it, you think they can just attack it? And if human beings want to restore our name, you think they can just restore our name? Humans aren't worthy of that! How could you pin your hopes on an ordinary person? You are Dafa disciples! Each one of you Dafa disciples represents a large, gigantic dimension. What does mankind amount to? It's only that the old forces are using it and have sealed off your greater abilities. How could you think that way about things? If all of you think that way, the old forces will see it and think: "How can they all have those thoughts? Those thoughts have to be removed, so let's make that premier turn bad." They would rather make him turn bad in order to get rid of your ordinary human thoughts. Isn't that right? The old forces have no regard for human life--if they want to kill, they'll just kill. Amidst the Fa-rectification they're only attached to their own arrangements."

Former lessons must make us more sober. We may use various kinds of opportunities which appear in society to clarify the truth, but we can in no way be attached to any person, or any event itself. Firmly clarify the truth, because truth-clarification is the golden key to save people. During Hu's visit to Canada, in addition to sending righteous thoughts and participating in the activities with pure minds, many practitioners have also fully made use of various kinds of opportunities to clarify the truth to the Canadian people and to those Chinese people who were organized to "welcome" Hu. Everybody awakened to the fact that actually a lot of these people had come to hear the truth. Not all these people came to earnestly do the "welcoming" things the Chinese Communist Party arranged, although they stood in that row. Then Dafa disciples must seize all possible opportunities to provide them with the chance to obtain the truth so that they will not have come in vain.

The contents of three banners are the manifestation of compassion and dignity

Falun Gong practitioners have given out three pieces of information during Hu's visits: "Strictly Punish Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, and Zhou Yongkang"; "Try According to Law the Wicked Police and Bad People Who Persecute Falun Gong"; "Hu Jintao, the Time God and People Give You Is Limited". Personally I think these three pieces of information fully manifest the fact that Dafa's "Compassion and solemn dignity coexist" ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference").

The compassion lies in the following: Warn the still confused CCP officials, party members and common people, including Hu Jintao, that there is still an opportunity to become awakened. Mercifully point out the way for them to redeem the future: namely, severely punish the prime culprits of the persecution and try according to law the wicked police and bad people who persecute Falun Gong. The dignity lies in the following: Gravely indicate that those truly guilty of the most heinous crimes, who have participated in the persecution, already have no opportunities left. They will inevitably be punished by both heavenly and human principles. To try them according to law will be precisely the duty of the world legal bodies. However, if those Chinese Communist Party henchmen do not become awakened and continue to persist in the persecution, their future will also be the same as that of Jiang, Luo, Liu and Zhou, because the wicked will receive retribution. The time is also "limited."

As Falun Gong practitioners, while transmitting this information to Hu Jintao and his delegation, we must also have such compassion and dignity and be open and dignified as deities in the human world. On one hand, deliver real information for those who still persist in their errors in the maze, let them feel sufficiently the strength of the truth and fair public opinions, which are not controlled by the Chinese Communist Party. At the same time, on the other hand, we are not in a fight with humans and also not out to embarrass Hu Jintao. But in this critical historical moment, we must take the opportunity to let him know the correct choice.

In this process, our mindsets must be pure, not with any battling, anxious, irritable and restless hearts. Also, we should not be preoccupied with these things when facing those Chinese people who are organized to "welcome" Hu. We may by no means have any combativeness in our hearts. They are all people that we want to save. If our minds are not righteous, it is very possible that the old force will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to bring losses to the effort of saving people.

This requires each practitioner to commit to Fa-study and to maintain righteous thoughts during the busy activities of Fa-rectification. When problems and shortcomings arise, everybody should exchange ideas promptly, look inside, and send righteous thoughts more often to eliminate various kinds of disturbance.
