By a practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, several brainwashing centers reopened in parts of Guangxi Province. Teacher told us, "As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts" ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A"). So I think that the reopening of the centers has something to do with the cultivation state of the practitioners in Guangxi Province. There are some practitioners who have been stuck at the level of personal cultivation for very long periods of times. These practitioners realize their responsibilities, but they are being held back due to their fearful hearts or their desires to live peaceful and quiet lives without interference. They simply have not come to understand the mission bestowed on Fa-rectification disciples. They are content with their own notions that they are still practicing cultivation while doing some truth clarification work along the way. Nonetheless, these practitioners have not proactively involved themselves in the three things. Truth clarification efforts here in Guangxi Province are lacking in both depth and extensiveness. Many areas still have not established a single truth clarification materials production site. Even some big cities are short of sites, and the practitioners in those cities have to obtain relevant truth clarification materials from other places. Thus, truth clarification is far from "blossoming everywhere."

When such a phenomenon exists, the old forces readily take advantage of it. When practitioners solely depend upon others to give them truth clarification materials, the evil forces will destroy existing materials production sites. When practitioners assume that they should be safe staying at home just doing the exercises, the evil forces will then arrest those practitioners in their homes and send them to the brainwashing centers. In a sense, these practitioners are being forced to go out of their homes.

Starting during the latter half of last year, the evil forces attacked and destroyed many truth clarification materials production sites in Guangxi Province. Practitioners who had been doing truth clarification work have been arrested, and some have been sentenced to prison terms. Because of the occurrence of all these incidents, I realized that every one of us here should start to think carefully and search inwardly for our gaps. When many practitioners are not doing truth clarification work well, the evil forces will concentrate their energy and forcefully crack down on those few practitioners who have been outstanding in their truth clarification. How can we say that the persecution that those few practitioners are now experiencing has nothing to do with our group as a whole?

As a matter of fact, a practitioner is not safe at all if he or she does not venture out to do truth clarification. Doesn't the current reopening of brainwashing centers demonstrate that point? Only when we do the "three things" well and catch up with the Fa-rectification path, will we be protected with the uttermost safety. When we become part of the Fa, who can then reach and touch us?

One practitioner from Fangchenggang City jumped out of a two-story building because he could no longer endure the persecution. Now his life is just hanging on by a very thin thread. We were all surprised and broken-hearted when we first heard of the news, yet, what should we do now? We all know that the righteous thoughts that our practitioners emanate could have made all the evil forces tremble with fear. Why have we become so helpless?

A Fa-rectification practitioner's mission is to help Teacher in rectifying the Fa and saving the world's sentient beings; this is also exhibiting a living being's true nature. We should not put our own safety first. The element of selfishness in the old cosmos goes beyond a very high level, and the selfish character that is manifested among those degenerated living beings is already pushing the old cosmos to the very brink of destruction with ever-increasing speed. Dafa practitioners, on the contrary, should cultivate "to attain the righteous Enlightenment of selflessness and altruism" ("Non-Omission in Buddha-Nature," Essentials for Further Advancement). How can we consummate if we hold onto and try to protect our own selves only? If we refuse to do Dafa work out of fear of bringing trouble to ourselves and choose only to finish seemingly safe tasks, we are deluding ourselves into believing that we are still doing truth clarification, while in reality we are waiting for the persecution to end while watching from the sidelines. Where do you think we should be placed in the upcoming, splendid and uttermost blissful new cosmos?

"Everything in the world was established and created for the Fa-rectification" ("To the European Fa Conference in Stockholm").

Let us release our selfishness and openly walk the path to godhood.
