Finland: Falun Gong Receives a Warm Welcome in Jyvaskyla (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 2 and 3, 2005, Falun Gong was introduced at a health fair in Jyvaskyla, Finland. Around one thousand people visited the fair. Practitioners from Tampere, Turku, Kemi and Jyväskylä took part in this activity.

Students who had just moved to Jyväskylä showed particular interest in Falun Gong. When they finished reading our leaflet, their questions were all about how to get more information about Falun Gong and where to find a local practice site. One gentleman said, "Everybody should practice Falun Gong so as to attain a peaceful and tranquil mind."

At our stall, people could sign their names to help end the persecution in China. Even though we mostly concentrated on demonstrating the five Falun Gong exercises, people still showed great concern for Falun Gong practitioners in China who are suffering terrible human rights abuses at the hands of the Communist Party.

This kind of event gives us many opportunities to let people learn more about Falun Gong and about the situation in China. Even if people do not take up the practice, this still gives us many opportunities to answer questions people may have about Falun Gong. If people can learn the truth, they will be able to see through the lies of the communist regime in China. People will understand that the Chinese Communist Party has chosen to persecute the most peaceful and innocent group of people in a most evil and inhuman way.
