A group of people from the different levels of the 610 Offices, the Police Departments, the State Security Divisions, the Procuratorates, the Police Stations and the CCP Residential District Agencies of Baoji City in Shaanxi Province jointly carried out a large-scale arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners in the area of Baoji City, from October 14, 2005 to October 28, 2005. Several sites that produce Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials were destroyed. From the beginning to the end, more than thirty practitioners were arrested and taken to brainwashing centers and labor camps where they are now being tortured.

The brainwashing centers are separately located at the following four sites: the Guest House of the Baoji City Engineering and Mechanical Factory (earlier it was called the Major Repair Factory), the Guest House of the Nitrogenous Fertilizer Factory, the Lingyun Guest House and the Qunzhong Road Office. Practitioners Ms. Sha Yulian, Ms. Ru Hongxia and Ms. Zhao Yu'e have been illegally sentenced to forced labor and sent to camps in Xi'an City. Those practitioners who have been sent to the brainwashing centers include Ms. Xu Mingxia, Ms. Zhang Caixia, Ms. Wang Juxiang, Ms. Nie Daimin, Ms. Li Lianyu and others.

On the afternoon of October 14, a male practitioner named Mr. Zhang was working when perpetrators from the Douji District Police Station of Baoji City, and the CCP Residential District Agency, forcibly took Mr. Zhang away from his work unit in spite of opposition from the local workers and the needs of the work unit for his labor.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Xiaoying is sixty-five years old. She is a retired teacher from Jinling Elementary School. She lives in the family residential buildings of the Agriculture Bank of Baoji City. Around 6:00 p.m. on October 14, 2005, police officers suddenly broke into Ms. Wang Xiaoying's house and took her away. Furthermore, her family members are prohibited from visiting her.

When the police officers from the Baoji County Police Department went to arrest practitioner Ms. Ru Hongxia, Ms. Ru's younger sister happened to be visiting her. The police officers also arrested her sister.

During this period of time, vicious people from the Weibin District Police Department, the Jintai District Police Department, the Jintai District Police Station and the CCP Residential District Agency separately broke into several practitioners' homes and employed a variety of despicable methods attempting to arrest practitioners (such as pretending to be someone from the Gas Company wanting to check on the heating system) to deceive practitioners' family members into opening the door. Because many practitioners negated such conspiracies ahead of time with their righteous thoughts, the attempts often failed. Some perpetrators ransacked practitioners' homes and threatened practitioners' family members, including their children.

On October 26, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members of Baoji City forced the local television stations and newspapers to defame Falun Dafa again in an attempt to poison people's mind.
