Doing Harm to Others is the Same as Doing Harm to Oneself
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic
retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions,
is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic
of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe
will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such
as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated
another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet
due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a
compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit
wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely
"following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held
responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of
wrongdoing may they escape retribution. 1. There is a villager surnamed Nie in Nanzhang Village, Shahe, Xingtai City,
Hebei Province. He used to rise early every day. His mother used to make
breakfast for him early because he wanted to use this time before going to work
to catch Falun Gong practitioners. He spent a great deal of time and energy
trying to find practitioners, but he was not successful. His mother has now
contracted cancer. His workplace has also dismissed him. 2. Secretary Xiao Huizhong from the Fanjiatun Development Area, Siping City,
Jilin Province, did many wicked things to persecute practitioners. Now he has
diseases all over his body and is dying. 3. Yu Zhenhai, the former deputy secretary of the Fushun Political and Law
Committee and director of the 610 Office in charge of persecuting
practitioners, contracted cancer and is in a hospital in Shenyang City. 4. Meng Xianyun, 56 years old, was the party secretary of Shiqiaobo Village,
Fenggezhuang Town, Laiyang City, Shandong Province. He tried very hard to follow
Jiang Zemin's regime in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Meng Xianyun died
of stomach cancer on June 23, 2005. 5. Ding Xiqiang and Yang Bingxue, who are part of an electric technique team,
met a Falun Gong practitioner. The practitioner clarified the truth
to them and told them to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion,
Forbearance. They read the truth-clarifying materials and kept the card with
"Falun Dafa is good" printed on it. In July, misguided people reported
this practitioner. When the company sent an investigator to look into the case,
Ding and Yang said some bad things and reported that the practitioner had Dafa
books. The books were confiscated. On October 11, 2005, Ding Xiqiang had an accident on the way to Jiaonan. He
fell down and incurred a fracture. Yang Bingxue also fell down and injured his
whole face. His eyes and mouth swelled up. It has been five days and he has not
yet recovered. Everyone: please do not do harm to others, for you will harm yourself as
well. Good deeds receive rewards and bad things incur karmic retribution. December 23, 2005
