Clarifying the Truth with Righteous Thoughts, Awakening the Clear-Headed Side of People in Forced Labor Camps

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 27, 2006, the local police and a security officer from my office came to my home to ask me to go to their headquarters for a conversation. I fell into their trap and was arrested by agents from the 610 Office, the Political and Judiciary Committee, and the local police that same afternoon. I was sentenced to a year and a half of forced labor.

Under isolation, practitioners were not allowed to meet with one another. Four drug addicts monitored each practitioner. Practitioners were not allowed to face the wall when they slept. They were not allowed to put their hands in front of their chests. The monitors kept an eye on you even when you were sleeping. The "training and consolidation" program everyday required that from 5:30 a.m. to midnight practitioners had to stand or squat in a military posture, recite the rules, and not be allowed to sleep if they didn't recite the rules. Practitioners' hands and feet were swollen. They were not allowed to change clothes or take a shower. The forced labor camp "rewarded" prisoners for "transforming" practitioners by reducing their sentences, so the monitors were all very motivated. They forced practitioners to walk "duck steps" from upstairs to downstairs the whole day.

The monitors in the forced labor camp were mostly long-term drug addicts. They said they got their orders from the section head. As long as they could "transform" practitioners and not cause huge trouble, it was up to them what they did to practitioners. These people were not well-behaved in society to begin with, plus they were all infused with evil thoughts from being in the forced labor camp. They utilized everything they could to persecute practitioners.

With Master's benevolent protection and strengthening from fellow practitioners' righteous thoughts, I firmly walked on the cultivation path and remembered what Master said: "By remaining unmoved you can handle all situations." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2005 Canada Fa Conference") Dafa practitioners need to have strong righteous thoughts. We have Master and have the Fa. We should completely negate the old forces' arrangements. Master Li also stated:

"Cultivators are on a journey to divinity. They don't see any human beings as their enemies, and they try their best to save all sentient beings. Even if a person has become so bad that he can no longer be saved, we still won't allow him to continue carrying out persecution." ("Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005")

I personally want to clarify the truth with benevolence and righteous thoughts and save sentient beings.

While in the forced labor camp, I treated everything with righteous thoughts. The monitors said I was serving a sentence in the forced labor camp, so I should follow the rules there. I told them that, "We are cultivators and we are the kindest people in the world. I don't belong to a forced labor camp. I'm being persecuted. It's not up to you. It's up to my Master and up to myself." I kept my heart balanced and wasn't afraid of anything. I sent forth righteous thoughts to anyone trying to persuade me.

Master said in "Teaching the Fa at San Francisco, 2005":

"If every Dafa disciple can think and act righteously as he goes about things and can look at things with righteous thoughts under any circumstance, none of you will become afraid when facing persecution. If that is how you are, who would dare to persecute you! If a person is completely in the Fa no one can touch him. Isn't that having the ability to protect yourself?"

"No matter what happens, nobody should be affected inside. Each student should think only of giving help as a Dafa disciple as he's able, and there is nothing to get worked up about. Even if you can't help that person you should still face this issue with righteous thoughts. Continue to do whatever you are supposed to. Don't become attached to it by looking at it in a human way, don't make these problems worse in your minds, look very righteously at how it relates to everything else and don't think of it as being very important, and be very calm. The old forces will then lose interest, thinking, 'These people aren't moved. If none of them are moved, what is the point?' They will then let the matter drop."

During the following month, with my righteous thoughts and without any fear, I was able to send away monitors, one after another. The guards didn't have any good ideas on how to deal with me either. With my clarifying the truth to the monitors, they started getting back on the right track. They told me that I was very special and even the section head was nice to me. Master said in "Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. Western Fa Conference":

"In clarifying the truth, don't pay any attention to the other person's social status, and don't have some sort of concept--first and foremost they're people, and they all have a chance to choose their own futures. No matter what his occupation, first and foremost he needs to have a future, and that's the most important thing for any person. In clarifying the truth, when you hit upon a person's fundamental issues, and at the same time he feels that Dafa disciples are truly saving him, then I think the side of him that's clear about things will show itself."

No matter who they are, I always treat everybody with my heart. I clarified the truth to them. The section head asked me, "Why don't you read the (brainwashing) books just to see what they say?" I told them, "I don't want to read them. I don't believe what they say. They are all lies" They asked me why I was sentenced and I told them that I was being persecuted. I also told them they must have had some predestined relationship with me. "I'm here to awaken you. You are the victims. The evil is persecuting you and dragging you down. Dafa is here to save sentient beings. Do you understand?" They said they didn't know what to do with me. The monitors also heard about this. I sometimes made them laugh and sometimes become angry. I realized that when they laughed, that meant that their clear-headed side was laughing. When they were angry, it was because the evil didn't know what to do any more and was being dissolved by a practitioners' righteous thoughts.

For the practitioners who were persecuted severely, most of the time, it was due to their own attachments and loopholes. This trouble was caused by practitioners not respecting the Fa and not respecting Master enough. If every practitioner can let go of his or her human notions and firmly believe in Dafa, nobody could touch or move him. For example, four monitors monitoring one practitioner means that they need to pull 200 people to monitor 50 practitioners. All forced labor camps have assigned tasks to finish. If they don't finish their tasks, they wouldn't get their bonuses. If all practitioners locked in the forced labor camp refused to participate in the labor, the evil couldn't do anything. Locking all the practitioners in small cells wouldn't work since they don't have enough cells. Therefore, many situations were caused by our own attachments. I witnessed a practitioner in her sixties who was forced to sit for over three months. She couldn't endure anymore, so she wanted to pretend to be "transformed." But she was taken advantage of by the evil and was persecuted brutally.

In the forced labor camp, the so-called "transformed" practitioners were not allowed to meet with the practitioners who were locked in small cells. The evil is afraid of practitioners making eye contact with them, fearing the "transformed" will be influenced by the steadfast. I remember one monitor who mentioned to me that once there was a practitioner who said to over 10 others who had been "transformed," "Have you read Master's new lectures? Master asks us to do well." As a result, many of them awakened. The monitors reported to the guard who then cried, "It was so hard to 'transform' even one practitioner. Now they all woke up after hearing what Master said."

When I look at "transformed" practitioners, although they have attachments and loopholes, I know Master is still waiting for them benevolently. Most of the practitioners want to come back to cultivation.. I hope we strengthen our righteous thoughts as a whole body and negate the old forces' arrangements.

Master said,

"When disciples have ample righteous thoughts
Master has the power to turn back the tide"

I will walk out of the forced labor camp with dignity and righteous thoughts.
