Australia: Labor Party Committee Invites Practitioners to Speak About the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 9, 2006, Ms. Frances Bedford, Member of Parliament, invited four Falun Gong practitioners to introduce Falun Gong and the persecution at the monthly meeting of a Labor Party committee.

A practitioner told the attendees the story of Deng Chun, a practitioner from Canberra. Deng is 30 years old. She is a single mother. In July 1999, she was hit by a car on the way to work. The money that the insurance company paid her was enough to buy a big house, and she didn’t have to work in the rest of her life. However, she just started cultivating Falun Gong. She told the insurance company that she was cultivating "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance", and she cannot accept the money since she believed that her body would be fine, and she didn’t have to go to the hospital. Since she had this righteous thought, the pain was gone, and her life was renewed.

The attendees were amazed by the story.

A practitioner from Mainland China told the attendees of her experiences. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong at the end of 2000 and was arrested. Since she refused to renounce Falun Gong, police forced her to stand in the sun for hours. There are still burn marks on her body. The police also forced her to do heavy labor 15 to 16 hours every day. In November 2001, the prison conducted a physical examination of all Falun Gong practitioners. She didn’t know the reason for it at the time, but now realizes that she almost became part of a living organ pool for illicit organ harvesting.

The attendees were shocked by the details of the persecution they heard, and expressed that the atrocities must be stopped. At the end of the meeting, the attendees thanked the practitioners and expressed their appreciation for the visit.
