Master Saved His Life

(Clearwisdom.net) In August, I visited an old colleague of mine. He had just returned from the hospital and was seriously ill. He was bedridden and he had a huge amount of various medicines next to him, as well as an oxygen bottle in case of an emergency. He could neither eat nor drink. He was too weak to talk and his body looked like a skeleton. With tears in his eyes, he told me that he is dying.

Here is his story. Before July 20, 1999, he practiced Falun Gong for a few days. Then he gave it up due to the enormous pressure. The slander from radio stations, newspapers and television programs which were controlled by the communist party had poisoned him, therefore he was against Dafa and did several things which were disrespectful. For the sake of personal profits, he betrayed the basic consciousness of a being human. His health deteriorated seriously and he had to spent lots of money for medicine, injections, and infusions during those years. Dafa has repeatedly given him chances and his life had been sustained in the hospital.

When he was seriously ill, I went to the hospital in order to clarify the truth to him. I told him that Falun Dafa is good and also shared my own experiences with him about the benefits I received after I started to practice Dafa. However, not only did he not listen to me but he also laughed at me. At his workplace, he also reported me to his supervisor and told him that I was advocating Falun Gong and claimed that I was getting political and were against the party. At that time, I had resentment toward him and thought that he was not worthy of being saved.

But I was soon enlightened that I was not right. As Dafa practitioners, we gave an oath to save sentient beings. We should not have any resentments and complaints because this is the manifestation of our benevolence. Master said:

"Whatever you experience during your cultivation--whether good or bad--is good, for it comes about only because you are cultivating." ("To the Chicago Fa Conference," 2006)

After I thought about the Fa, the resentment and complaint in my heart disappeared. I visited the home of this practitioner again. When I saw his terrible condition laying there in the bed, I felt so sorry for him. Previously when I told him that Falun Gong is good, he made an ugly face toward me. This time, since I had adjusted my altitude, his eyes were filled with desire when he looked at me. I talked to him about my understanding of the Fa principles and the principle that one thought can bring about different consequences, as well as that good or bad deeds will definitely result in different retributions. I told him that he took to the wrong path and did the wrong thing because he was poisoned by the communist party's atheism. Falun Gong has not been defeated by the persecution, yet the communist party is soon going to collapse. The evil deeds committed by the communist part have been exposed and many sentient beings have awakened to the truth. At this time, there are more than 14 million Chinese people who have announced that they have quit the communist party.

I asked him to quit the communist party in order to secure his safety and to be a decent person. This time, his consciousness awakened. He understood the truth and nodded in agreement that he would quit the communist party. I chose an alias for him in order to make the announcement. I gave him a charm and taught him to read "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are good." He happily accepted my advice.

I still worried about him and seven days later, my spouse (also a practitioner) and I visited his home again.

This time, he had totally changed. He quickly got up from his bed, brought chairs for us, and prepared hot water for us. It was Master who saved his life and the wonder of Dafa had manifested once again.
