Practitioner Ms. Sui Yumin from Babaishang, Daqing City, Heilongjiang
Province was arrested, detained and tortured many times for persisting in her
belief in Dafa. She went into exile to avoid further persecution. She was
arrested again on August 24, 2006 by officers from Babaishang Police Department.
Her father tried to stop the police but officer Zhang Qingbin beat and kicked
the old man in his 60s. They handcuffed Sui Yumin and pushed her into a police
car. Sui Yumin's father went to the Police Department in the afternoon to ask
for his daughter, but the police refused to let him meet with her. They took Sui
Yumin to Daqing Detention Center in the evening.
Sui Yumin went on a hunger strike at the detention center to protest the
illegal detention. The guards force-fed her via her nose for three days
straight. Sui Yumin has become very weak from the abuse. Her face is black and
blue, she throws up daily and part of her body below the chest is covered in
itchy red bumps. She is skin and bones and she cannot take care of herself. Her
life is in danger, and yet the guards refuse to let her family see her.
