Practitioner Zhang Quanliang Secretly Sentenced to Prison for Five Years

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Quanliang, a practitioner from Chongqing City, was secretly sentenced to prison for five years on July 25. The authorities have blocked the news so tightly that even his attorney did not receive any notification.

After Zhang Quanliang’s family members obtained the information, they went to the Yuzhong District Court to ask for his release. The court authority claimed that he had been transferred to the No. 5 Middle Rank Court. It is reported that Mr. Zhang has appealed to that court.

Zhang Quanliang was once sentenced to a forced labor camp for three years. He was subjected to all sorts of tortures and was finally released. But, on December 7, 2005, he was illegally arrested again. State Security Team personnel in the Yuzhong District hung him by handcuffs for six days and nights.

The departments involved in the persecution of Mr. Zhang also include the No. 1 Division of the Chongqing City Police Department, the No. 5 Procurator in Chongqing City, the Yuzhong District Procurator, and others.
