(Clearwisdom.net) I obtained the Fa in prison. This unusual way has brought a lot of difficulties in various aspects of my cultivation. Most of all, it was difficult because I was unable to study the Fa since no Falun Dafa books were available. The only Fa for me to learn was Lunyu, which a practitioner wrote down for me from memory. That was the only words from Master guiding my cultivation under such circumstances. Reciting "Lunyu" was my everyday Fa-study.

After that fellow practitioner left, other practitioners came. They really worried about my situation, so they wrote down some of Teacher's articles that they had memorized. Treating those articles as a treasure, I carried them with me and took them out to study when I could. Later, because I was sent to different prisons several times, I had the opportunity to meet more fellow practitioners and got more of Teacher's articles. I not only got the completed Hong Yin and Essentials for Further Advancement but also could memorize them proficiently at that time.

As the time that I stayed in prison progressed, more policemen knew that I practiced Falun Gong. They guarded me more severely than ever. Targeted searches of my bed and body became more and more frequent. Life in prison became even more difficult. Without paper and pens, we used discarded tooth paste boxes as paper and found hard materials to carve on the boxes. We also used nails to write the Fa on the wall. It resulted in our nails splitting and causing great pain. It is almost impossible to see the latest articles from Master. When we did get the latest article, we memorized it as soon as possible to prevent the police from taking it away.

Aunt Xu knew that I started to learn the Fa in prison, so she was very concerned for me. She was worried because that I could not read Zhuan Falun for a long time after I began cultivation. We were separated and sent to different rooms by policeman afterwards. Aunt Xu helped other people bring Zhuan Falun to prison by a special means and asked a policeman to let me stay with her. The policeman rejected her request, and Aunt Xu went on a hunger strike. On the third day of her hunger strike, the policeman agreed to let me stay with her. Finally I could study Zhuan Falun after one year of practicing Falun Dafa. The first time I saw Zhuan Falun, I could not stop myself from weeping. It was like triumphant warriors seeing their long-departed family and I did not want to be separated from Zhuan Falun anymore. Being afraid of losing it, I carried it with me everyday and read it eagerly.

Though this happened in the past, if sometimes I cannot make the best use of time to study the Fa, I recall those memories and know that there is no excuse to slow my advancement in cultivation.
