Five Falun Gong Practitioners from Hubei, Hunan, Shandong and Heilongjiang Provinces Die Due to Persecution (Photo)

Dafa practitioner Ms. Gan Lihua, 68, was from Wuchang District, Wuhan City and worked in the Hubei Construction Machine Factory. She started learning Falun Dafa in 1998 and subsequently all her chronic illnesses disappeared.

In late 1999, Gan Lihua went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa. Afterwards, she was illegally arrested, detained, and subjected to intense brainwashing at times. Her home was illegally ransacked many times and she was harassed and monitored by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for a long period of time.

On September 28, 2004, after Gan Lihua was released from detention, her health was extremely poor and she was disoriented. She died on July 28, 2005.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhou Juying from Tiexi Town, Hongjiang Prefecture, Hunan Province started learning Falun Gong in 1998. In 2000, the 610 Office, which was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong, detained her and ordered her to tell other people that her illness was cured in a hospital (rather than as a result of practicing Falun Gong), but she didn't comply. As a result, Ms. Zhou was hung up in a stair well for a whole night, until she was close to suffering a mental collapse. The police saw that she was not in good condition and feared she would die in the police station, so they released her. However, they frequently came to her home to harass her, which caused Ms. Zhou to be unable to do the Falun Gong exercises and study the Fa. This year, her old illness recurred and she died on October 18, 2006.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Xiao Jinfeng, 74, was from Dongjiang Village, Tengjia Town, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province. In 2004, the police broke into her home and forcibly took her away. Later, Ms. Xiao was extorted out of 5,000 yuan. In April 2006, Xiao Jinfeng died as a result of long-term persecution.

Ms. Zhou Zuoling was born in 1956 and lived in Wanghainijia Village, Gaocun Town, Wendeng City, Shandong Province. She started practicing Dafa in 1997. After beginning the practice, her long-term debilitating disease disappeared without any treatment. When the persecution started on July 20, 1999, police officers from the town police station went to her home many times to harass her, confiscate items, and try to force her to write the three statements. The constant harassment and abuse damaged Ms. Zhou's mind and body. In August 2001, Zhou Zuoling appeared to have symptoms of disease, and she died in November.

Yun Fuhua

Dafa practitioner Ms. Yun Fuhua, 57, was from Shahezi Town, Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province. She started learning Dafa in 1998 and attained a healthy mind and body. Her illness went away without any medical treatment.

After July 20, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Dafa started, Yun Fuhua was harassed many times by Fangzheng County Police Station Deputy Head Bai Xiaoli, Political Security Branch Head Chou Yongsheng, Shahezi Police Station Head Hu Yajun, and others. She was forced to write a guarantee promising that she would no longer practice. Later her home was illegally ransacked by the head of Shahezi Village, Su Datong, and others. The book Zhuan Falun and other Dafa books were confiscated.

During the persecution, Yun Fuhua's mind and body were seriously attacked. She later moved to Guangxinzhuang Village, in Rengezhuang Town, Fengrun County, Hebei Province. Since she lost the proper environment to study the Fa and do the exercises, her former disease recurred and she died on October 20, 2006.
