United Kingdom: "Friends of Falun Gong" Student Society at Bristol University Takes Part in Freshers Fair (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 5-6, the Student Society "Friends of Falun Gong" at Bristol University participated in the 2006 Freshers Fair in the Student Union building.

Every year, thousands of students come to visit the Fresher’s Fair. This year, many people took leaflets and remained to talk with the practitioners, and there were also many who were already aware of the persecution. About twenty students joined our society, and some people were very interested in learning the exercises.

Some Chinese students who probably just came from China did not dare to talk to us or take materials, a result of the terrible environment forced upon the Chinese people by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but they could clearly see the banners ‘’Falun Gong is good’’ and ‘’Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance’’ in both Chinese and English. They could understand that Falun Gong is popular outside of China, and also the young English students were practicing right in full view of them.

Many Chinese students came to our exhibition table, and we told them how we had benefited from cultivating Falun Gong. Some encouraged us to continue to practice, some just left after reading our newspaper, and there were also some who did not dare to take leaflets. A young man who was working for the Chinese Students and Scholars Association took a copy of the independent report on the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners by Canadians Matas and Kilgour. Another Chinese student who is a Christian also expressed his interest in learning Falun Gong.
