Ms. Chen Yuanhua Sentenced Again, This Time to Three Years in Prison in Tianjin

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Yuanhua was arrested in June 2006. On November 17, 2006, she was sentenced to three years in prison by the Ninghe County Court, which kept the sentencing a secret from her family. There is a ten-day time period in which to appeal after sentencing. After allowing the ten days to pass quietly, the court wants to secretly send Ms. Chen to prison.

Ms. Chen Yuanhua, 55, lives in the Guojiayuan Market Area of Lutai Town, Nignhe County, Tianjin City. Since starting to cultivate Falun Dafa in 1998, Ms. Chen has disciplined herself according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." She kept practicing after the persecution began on July 20, 1999, and was sent to a forced labor camp for two years. On June 3, 2006, Ms. Chen was trailed, arrested, and detained in the Ninghe County Detention Center, where she was cruelly tortured.

On July 19, 2006, the Ninghe County 610 Office and the County Court held a secret trial for Ms. Chen. She refused to cooperate and clarified the truth to the court, which alarmed the authorities. On November 17, the Ninghe County Court held a secret trial again and sentenced Ms. Chen to three years in prison. Her family is appealing the ruling.
