Practitioner Mr. Hu Liyao From Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province Persecuted

(Clearwisdom.net) Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared on the minghui.ca website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).

Practitioner Mr. Hu Liyao from Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province went to Beijing on June 1, 2002. He unfurled a banner and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" Police ran up, beat and kicked him; they dragged him into a police car and locked him in a metal cage at the Tiananmen Police Department.

Later that evening, the officials took Mr. Hu to a hotel where the Zhaoyuan City Liaison Office in Beijing was located. Wang Lingfeng and other officials at the liaison office robbed Mr. Hu of more than 700 yuan in cash. They tied him to a heating pipe for an entire night and didn't give him any food or water. They took him to the Longkou Custody Center on the morning of June 3, 2002. 610 Office agents later took him to his home and ransacked it.

They took him to Zhangjiakou City Detention Center on June 4, 2002 for interrogation, where the guards ordered inmates to persecute him and they forced him to work. He got only one or two hours' sleep a night. Mr. Hu was sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp on June 12, 2002, to be held for two years. He was again forced to do labor at this camp.

The illegally-imposed term expired in March 2004. Village Party secretary Hu Limo went to Mr. Hu Liyao's workplace and pressured the supervisors to fire him. Longkou 610 Office agents extorted 3,000 yuan from Mr. Hu; the village Party Committee extorted another 3,040 yuan from him. Court officials told Mr. Hu Liyao to appear at a trial the next day and coerced him to divorce his wife. One week later, the officials took him to the Xiadingjia Brainwashing Center for seven days of persecution.
