The Difference in a Single Thought Creates a Different Outcome

(Clearwisdom.net) In a small town in a certain county in Heilongjiang Province, almost every household grows auricular mushrooms. These mushrooms are a blackish-brown edible fungus that grows on decaying tree trunks, They are shaped like a human ear and are cultivated using a special bag called a "Land Planted Auricular Mushroom Bag." Three practitioners in this town each have a little house and a piece of land beside the river for growing the mushrooms.

In the spring of 2004, there was a big flood in this small town. On the day of the flood, two of the practitioners were busy protecting their mushrooms. But the third practitioner thought that, since this was not the season that the floods usually occurred, perhaps the time to weed people out had come. She thought that she'd better hurry up to tell people the truth and save more of them.

After the flood, the "Land Planted Auricular Mushroom Bags" and the houses of the two practitioners and the other residents had all been washed away. Only the bags and the little house of the practitioner who was busy saving people were still there, undamaged. People all marveled at this miraculous incident and thought God was protecting her.

There was a similar miracle reported in the Minghui Weekly. "The Flood Came and Went" reported the true story of a Dafa practitioner in Liaoning Province. When the flood came, this practitioner went to every house in the village and told them to leave quickly. When the flood waters receded, every household reported damages and property losses to a some extent. Only this practitioner's house did not have any damage, and he had no property loss. When the river burst its banks, the water went directly into the village. When it came to the house of this practitioner, it changed direction automatically. This practitioner's selflessness and noble behavior moved the people in the village and they openly said, "Falun Dafa is good".

The difference of one thought determined different outcomes, though the circumstances were the same and they were all Dafa practitioners. In "Non-Omission in Buddha-Nature" from Essentials for Further Advancement, Master said:

We as Dafa students should firmly believe in Dafa and in our Teacher. As long as we have the Fa in our heart, have sentient beings in our minds, and do the three things well with righteous thoughts and righteous actions, the Buddha Law will manifest its divine powers for us.
