Stop the Brutal Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Daqing City

(Clearwisdom.net) The Daqing City People's Congress will be held on February 15-18, 2006. The brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in Daqing City is still going on under the CCP's direction.

During the Congress, detained Falun Dafa practitioners in Daqing City Prison have been on hunger strike for more than twenty days. Many practitioners are very weak and cannot rise right now, including Mr. Zhang Zhi, Mr. Guan Zhaoqi, Mr. Wang Yudong, Mr. Li Ronghong, Mr. Zhao Yu'an, Mr. Zhang Xingye, and Mr. Bu Fanwei. Among these, Mr. Bu Fanwei is unconscious, and Mr. Zhang Zhi is close to death.

On January 26, 2006, Daqing Prison Head Wang Yongxiang (male) personally beat Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Jiang Derong, Mr. Jia Shenghui, Mr. Sun Jianbin, Mr. Wang Yudong, and Mr. Jin Sheng with many witnesses watching, and had these practitioners locked in the small cells (1). In order to protest such illegal persecution, many practitioners went on hunger strikes, such as Mr. Jiang Derong, Mr. Jia Shenghui, Mr. Sun Jianbin, Mr. Jin Sheng Mr. Zhang Zhi, Mr. Guan Zhaoqi, Mr. Wang Yudong, Mr. Li Ronghong, Mr. Zhao Yu'an, Mr. Zhang Xingye, Mr. Zhang Zidong, Mr. Zhong Zhaoqin, Mr. Zou Guoyan, Mr. Wang Junfeng, Mr. Deng Qingshan, Mr. Yao Bin, Mr. Li Chao, Mr. Li Zhanbin, Mr. Zhai Zhibin, and Mr. Bu Fanwei. Their lives are all in danger.

On September 23, 2005, policemen from Daqing City suddenly arrested more than thirty Falun Dafa practitioners and took away their family possessions that were valuable, including cash and bank certificates. They did so without showing any warrants. They also cheated the practitioners' families out of money. Some family members of these practitioners did not know they were arrested until many days later.

In order to keep their crimes from being exposed, they have resorted to arresting and/or bribing non-practitioners. After this large-scale arrest was exposed to the world, they threatened the released practitioners, "If you expose these facts, we will arrest you again!" The policemen are still harassing Falun Dafa practitioners and extorting money from their families.

After July 20, 1999, at least 56 Falun Dafa practitioners from Daqing City have been confirmed to have been tortured to death, or 160f the 345 total death cases in Heilongjiang Province. Countless Falun Dafa practitioners have been fired from jobs, fined, tortured, arrested, detained, and sent to forced labor or prison. Police from Daqing City have committed crimes against both the Dafa practitioners, as well as their families.
