U.S.A.: Practitioners Conduct Exercise Demonstration in Chinese New Year Celebration at the University of Pennsylvania (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 21, 2006, the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology held its 25^th Chinese New Year celebration. The annual celebration is full of Chinese traditional culture and arts, including various performances, dancing, painting, Falun Gong, Taiji, and paper folding. The event has attracted more and more visitors each year. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the celebration for the eighth time. They conducted an exercise demonstration and were warmly welcomed. Several practitioners in Philadelphia learned Falun Gong in the celebration eight years ago. However, in China such a graceful practice is being brutally persecuted.

In front of the Falun Gong practitioners' booth, a Chinese person said, "I wish to buy a book and see what in the world Falun Gong is." An American said, "I know that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong and religious beliefs. I stayed in China for three months. It is hard to imagine that many Chinese people are so poor! It is very different from the CCP's propaganda."

Many people were attracted by the graceful exercise demonstration and video show. Some wished to learn the exercises. A reporter said that he would interview the practitioners and report on Falun Gong.
