Taiwan: All Relationships Are Predestined (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) A Falun Dafa Nine-Day Lecture Series has been held
regularly from the first to the ninth of every month for the past five years on
Jiaxing Street, Taipei, Taiwan. Countless people have attended the nine-day
classes. Some have improved a great deal both physically and mentally, some have
been diligently and solidly cultivating in the Fa-rectification, and there are
also many people who are busy with their everyday lives and lag behind. To cherish their unique and wondrous predestined relationship with Dafa,
practitioners who coordinate the nine-day classes, including Zhang Ruilan, Lai
Peiling and other practitioners, prepared a party entitled "All
Relationships Are Predestined" on the afternoon of March 4, 2006, at the
Xinsheng Primary School. More than 1,000 people who have attended the nine-day classes received phone
calls from Falun Gong practitioners. Some people were very pleased and said,
"Do you still remember me?" Some people were moved to tears and said
that they had not practiced the exercises or studied the Fa well, but they would
definitely attend this activity. Some people left their contact information and
asked practitioners to mail materials to them. Some people who were attending
the nine-day class came with their family members. That afternoon the weather was favorable, with a clear sky and a gentle
spring breeze. The setting was pleasant and comfortable. A Falun Dafa photo
exhibit lined two sides of the site. On display were over 50 rare, large-scale
color photos recording the worldwide spread of Falun Gong in the past ten years
as well as Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful journey to resist the brutal
persecution launched by the Chinese Communist regime in 1999. Many people
studied these photos attentively with their children and family members. Colorful balloons hanging in front of the stage greeted the guests. By 2:00
p.m. all 300 seats were occupied, and everyone was expectantly awaiting the
start of the program. The NTDTV Flag and Drum Troupe kicked off the party with
their vigorous drumbeats and spectacular flags. Many children sitting in the
first row stopped playing to look wide-eyed at the unusually dynamic
performance. The host then introduced two physicians to share with the audience. Hu Naiwen
is a doctor of Chinese medicine at Shanghai Tongrentang. Doctor Hu, whose face
had a rosy, healthy glow and who was in high spirits, said that the most
essential part of Chinese medicine does not lie in doctors' excellent clinical
skills but in the precautionary measures they take before people fall ill--not
waiting to apply remedies after the illnesses occur. Doctor Hu said that he
often recommends that his patients learn to practice Falun Gong, because Falun
Gong is able to fundamentally and truly change one's moral standard and bring
true health to patients! The second doctor was Li Zhengxun, an attending physician at the Department
of Psychiatry at Taipei United Hospital. Doctor Li shared that, although he is a
doctor, he had all kinds of illnesses and was never without medicines, despite
the fact that he knows that the modern medicine is very shallow and can only
"treat your head when you have a headache, treat your feet when your feet
are painful." He knew how difficult it is to solve the fundamental problem.
Doctor Li said that November 1, 2001, was an unforgettable day for him, because
that day he attended the nine-day group study and exercise class held in
Jiangxing Street, and that was the beginning of his rebirth. Many questions and
puzzles that had perplexed him despite much thought were answered by the broad
and profound principles in Falun Gong. Doctor Li also shared with practitioners
how he passed the test of sickness karma and his understanding of it. He also
encouraged everyone to diligently and solidly cultivate. After the doctors shared their experiences and understandings, many
practitioners who had previously attended the nine-day classes shared their own
understandings and experiences. Eighty-four year-old Uncle Wang was a colonel
and once worked as dean at a political campaign school. He quit a 60-year-long
smoking habit after listening to the seventh lecture. Some people shared their
understanding of eliminating karma while doing the sitting meditation, and
someone expressed that Dafa is truly more important than his life. There was a
big family at the party: Cousin Mr. Zhu was the first in the family who learned
to practice Falun Gong, and after him, more than 20 people in his family have
taken the path of practicing Falun Dafa. Mr. Zhu is 74 years old. Five years ago, when he read Falun Dafa cultivation
stories, he felt that the practice was very good. He and his wife attended the
Falun Gong Nine-Day Video Lecture Series. At that time, Mr. Zhu had just
undergone a big operation and his health was quite poor. He looked like an older
man with unsteady steps. After practicing Falun Dafa, the couple's health
improved greatly. Their faces have a rosy, healthy glow, and they are full of
energy. Mrs. Zhu is 68 years old, but looks to be in her 40s. When they went
abroad, the customs officers always stopped her. One female customs officer
stopped Mrs. Zhu when she entered the country and asked her, "What brand of
cosmetics do you use? Please tell me." She said, "I don't use
cosmetics. I'm young and healthy because I practice Falun Gong." Another time, Mrs. Zhu went to Ocean Park in Hualian to visit. When she
entered the park with a coupon ticket for senior citizens, the lady who
collected tickets stopped her, questioned how she could use a senior coupon, and
asked her to show her ID card for verification. The ID card says 65 years old.
Mr. Zhu was also often asked if he had applied powder on his face, why his face
glowed, and how come he had such a nice skin. The couple used their personal changes to clarify the facts about
Falun Gong to people around them. Sixteen people in Mr. Zhu's cousin's family
have attained the Fa. Ten people from Mrs. Zhu's relatives also attained the Fa.
It's really a big family that practices Falun Gong. Wonderful artistic performances throughout the program added to the
audience's pleasure. A graceful clarinet, melodious flute, sweet lute, and pure
and honest cello conveyed to the audience the wonderful feelings after
practicing Falun Gong. After the instrumental performance, a practitioners'
choir came to the stage to sing songs calling for people to pay attention to the
persecution of Falun Gong in China and expressing their best wishes for everyone
to have a happy and beautiful future! Children from the Minghui Doudou Kindergarten recited Lunyu word
for word in high spirits. Many parents were amazed and gave them warm applause. One child named Hong Fa is a natural born drummer. His parents hope he can go
everywhere to spread Dafa and let everyone know Falun Dafa is grand. Hong Fa's
father is a drummer in the NTDTV Flag and Drum Troupe. Since Hong Fa was born,
he has often seen and heard his father practice and give performances. As time
went by, little Hong Fa was also able to perform. He wants to use his drumbeat
to encourage practitioners and awaken people's memory of Dafa! As a final performance, the NTDTV Flag and Drum Troupe played "Heaven
and Earth are Rectified, Celebrating the Peace" with their festive
drumbeats and gongs and cymbals. Many mothers were afraid their little babies
might be awakened by the thunderous and deafening drumbeats, and covered their
ears, but the little babies slept so soundly, as if they were immersed in a
harmonious and comfortable energy field, enjoying comfort from the Buddha's
illuminating light. The party ended after 5:00 p.m. Practitioners prepared cakes and snacks for
everyone. They hoped that everyone would leave with warmth in their hearts, take
the path of cultivation that truly returns to one's original, true self, and
cherish this precious predestined relationship with Dafa.
