By a practitioner from Taiwan

(Clearwisdom.net) I visited Hong Kong from February 2-6, 2006, to clarify the truth to the Mainland Chinese visitors. This was my seventh time in Hong Kong. The five days went by very quickly, and I gained some understandings that I would like to share with others.

Although we ran into some people who didn't know the truth, many people already did. In Hong Kong's Disneyland, when a woman saw that I picked up a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, that another visitor threw away, she smiled and showed me her copy when I tried to give one to her. She also told me not to give any copies to people that would throw them away.

When I was in Lok Ma Chau, I met an older woman. She asked for a copy of Zhuan Falun, and said that many of her relatives regained their health after practicing Falun Gong. We said that we would get a copy for her to take back. She also said that in Mainland China many people know the truth about the persecution against Falun Gong. At her company she often received truth-clarification materials faxed from outside of China, including the Nine Commentaries.

Another visitor stepped out of the tour bus to smoke. I went up to him and asked, "Have you withdrawn [from the CCP]?" He said, "I withdrew a long time ago. Who wants to be with a Party like that?" I told him, "You should not only withdraw yourself, but also tell your families and friends to do the same!" He nodded and went back to the bus. I sensed that he wanted an opportunity to talk to me and used smoking as an excuse to come off the bus.

There was a Christian from Hong Kong, who I saw twice at press conferences about withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He supported our activities by either participating in a skit or singing. He also walked with us through the entire parade route.

2. The Importance of Righteous Thoughts

When I arrived at Disneyland, I went to distribute truth-clarification materials before I had time to send forth righteous thoughts. In the beginning it was fairly easy, but it became more difficult as time went by. Later I realized that when I first distributed the Nine Commentaries, most of the practitioners around me (about 50) were sending righteous thoughts at the time. With the whole group sending righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil, the effect was very good. When we were spread out to distribute the materials, our power seemed less concentrated and not as powerful. When we sent forth righteous thoughts together as a group after 6:00 p.m., the visitors who were leaving were much more receptive to the Nine Commentaries. In this process, I learned the importance of having a clear mind and righteous thoughts, and the power of sending righteous thoughts as a group.

Another incident also helped me understand the importance of righteous thoughts. I attended a hearing at the Hong Kong High Court on the issue of blacklists. We sent forth righteous thoughts the entire way there to clear away the evil elements in the courtroom. Although I couldn't understand what the lawyer representing the Hong Kong government said, I felt strongly that the human dimension is closely related to the righteous thoughts of Dafa practitioners. When we didn't do a good job sending forth righteous thoughts or were distracted, the attorney for the Hong Kong government became very eloquent, and the judge nodded frequently as if in agreement with the lawyer.

But when we looked inside and reminded each other to strengthen our righteous thoughts, I saw that in the human dimension, the Hong Kong government's attorney began to stumble. He could not find his files and was speechless for a short while. The judge also looked a bit impatient. After I returned to Taiwan, I heard from other practitioners that on a later day, the attorney representing the Hong Kong government was stuck in the elevator and could not appear in time. The time for his speech was cut short as well.

Actually, on small things in our daily lives, we also need to keep every thought clear and pure so as not to be taken advantage of. During my last visit to the United States the wheels on my suitcase broke. This time in Hong Kong it was difficult to take my suitcase off the airplane. While in Hong Kong, I thought of buying a new suitcase. But then I thought that since it chose to be a suitcase to help a Dafa practitioner in this lifetime, I could not abandon it so casually. I told it in my heart, "You still have a mission to finish!" To my surprise, it became much easier to use.

Another night, when I returned to the hotel, I felt as though my head was splitting open and it was very painful. I had originally planned to study two lectures of Zhuan Falun. As I lay in bed trying to recover, I reminded myself that I didn't come to lie here, and that I must get up to study the Fa with fellow practitioners. The pain went away quickly. I not only had a clear mind, but also grew more and more energetic as I studied. I was able to successfully complete the Fa study.

3. Using Every Minute to Save People

On the day of the parade to support the withdrawals from the CCP, I saw that almost all the people and cars in Hong Kong stopped to watch us. Some people looked from their cars, while others got out of the car to watch us. The street was almost like a parking lot, with cars lined up bumper-to-bumper and not moving at all. I have attended four parades in Hong Kong and this drew the largest crowd of all the parades. In the human dimension, this was the Chinese New Year, but I know that in other dimensions the sentient beings were anxious [to know the truth]. As I walked along, I kept sending righteous thoughts. The waist drum troupe led the way. The occasion was solemn and sacred. Tears welled up in my eyes.

On the way back to Taiwan, because I was too short to reach the luggage cabinet, a man next to me helped me lift up the suitcase. I thanked him. A man traveling with him said "thank you" back with a Beijing accent, which I was delighted to hear. The fellow practitioners and I struck up a conversation with them and learned that they were going to Taiwan on a cultural exchange program. We told them about the popularity of Falun Dafa in Taiwan and the withdrawals from the CCP in Mainland China. We also gave them the Nine Commentaries and The Epoch Times. They listened quietly and attentively. On the flight, they also read The Epoch Times. We sent forth righteous thoughts and thought they were truly fortunate to have so much time to listen to the truth. We deeply appreciated Teacher's compassionate salvation of sentient beings!
