(Clearwisdom.net) To persecute Falun Gong and stir up hatred of Falun Gong practitioners, the Chinese Communist regime has fabricated lies one after another since July 20, 1999, to slander Falun Gong and deceive the people of the world. The biggest lie is the so-called "Tiananmen Square self-Immolation." To help people understand the truth of this incident, I would like to share my experience in Beijing City's Dongcheng Detention Center.

On New Year's Day 2002, I held a "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forberance" banner on the Golden Water Bridge in front of Tiananmen to validate Dafa. I was taken to the Miyun County Detention Center, where I did not cooperate and walked out of there with righteous thoughts after a nine-day hunger strike. Later I was arrested again and detained in Beijing's Dongcheng Detention Center for posting truth clarification flyers.

In the Dongcheng Detention Center, I was put in Room 10, section 1, and transferred to room 1 with a monitor, because I refused to wear a prisoner's uniform, respond to roll call or recite the prison regulations. Instead, I clarified the truth to other prisoners, who did not know my name and called me "Falun" instead.

One night after supper in room 1, the detainees sat on a plank and watched CCTV, while I closed my eyes and memorized Teacher's new articles. Suddenly, one detainee said to me, "Hey, Falun, your Falun Gong is on TV again!"

I looked up at the TV, where the Tiananmen Square Self-immolation was being shown. I told them, "Do not believe it. The people who conducted the self-immolation are not Falun Gong practitioners. Killing is prohibited in Falun Gong, and suicide is also regarded as a sin, let alone self-immolation! What is more, how could they have so many fire extinguishers on hand in such a short time, and how could they tape the incident in such close quarters? The self-immolation was definitely fabricated." One detainee responded immediately, "I knew the self-immolation was 'false fire.'"

I asked, "How do you know that?" He said, "I heard it from my cousin, a police official that patrols Tiananmen Square. One day before the incident, he was told that 'Falun Gong' would conduct a self-immolation." I said, "Think about it, everyone. If Falun Gong practitioners wanted to conduct a self-immolation, would they tell the government? Definitely not. So how could the police officials know about it in advance? This proves that the self-immolation was false!" The detainee answered, "You got that right! My cousin told me that the self-immolation was really false, that the extinguishers and the blanket were arranged in advance, and that the government authorities directed this show to frame Falun Gong and incite hatred of practitioners in order to persecute Falun Gong further!"

The detainees came to understand the truth and talked more about it, but the detainee reminded us, "Keep it quiet. We will get in trouble if the guard hears this. My cousin told me to keep it confidential; otherwise, we will have trouble. I would not bring it up if 'Falun' here did not say 'the self -immolation is false.'"

There is a saying, "What's done in the dark will come to light." At that time, I thought that I should reveal the truth and expose the evil after being released, so that more people could know the truth. I clarified the truth based on my own experience, which had very good results.
