Experiences Sending Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) It has been several years since Teacher first taught practitioners the verses for sending forth righteous thoughts. Because I am not diligent, do not study the Fa enough, and have many human notions, I have felt that the power of my sending righteous thoughts is not strong. However, after changing my notions, twice I felt clearly the effect of sending righteous thoughts.

One day in late 2001, the police once again arrested my sister-in-law from her workplace. When we heard the news, my husband was very worried and asked what we should do. At that time I was quite calm and told him, "There is only one solution. Let's send righteous thoughts to help eliminate all the evils that are persecuting her. She should be released unconditionally." Thus, we calmed down and sent righteous thoughts. At that time I felt as if my body was melted into the cosmos. The power of the righteous thoughts is boundless and can eliminate all evils. After three hours of our sending righteous thoughts, my sister called me and said my sister-in-law had been released unconditionally. Later, I heard that all practitioners who knew about my sister-in-law's arrest had sent righteous thoughts. My sister-in-law also denied all the old forces' persecution with righteous thoughts. Thus the evil persecution was disintegrated.

In 2002, I was wrongfully imprisoned in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. The camp applied all kinds of brutal methods in attempts to "transform" me. At that time, the No. 7 Division was holding over one hundred practitioners. Every day we could hear the sound of practitioners being tortured and brutally beaten. We all sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil persecution and deny the old forces' arrangement, but my cultivation state was not steady under the huge pressure of that environment. I felt fear and hatred. With those human notions, I sent righteous thoughts to let those assailants receive karmic retribution. Thinking of retribution with human notions, I even imagined the details of their retribution. Every day I was anxious to observe the evil receiving karmic retribution. For several days, I did not see any results. Consequently, I was no longer very confident about sending righteous thoughts. I believe that at that time there were many practitioners who felt similarly. Without righteous thoughts, during the persecution I acted against my conscience. I let down Teacher and Dafa, and left reason for regret on my cultivation path. This was a very painful lesson.

If during that time, the one hundred practitioners in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp could have calmly faced the evil, and purely and benevolently sent righteous thoughts, then the effect would have been very strong. The evil's persecution would not have been carried out.
