Saving People and Our Conscience

(Clearwisdom.net) In our daily life, when we are driving and hear the sirens from an ambulance or fire truck, people would automatically slow down or stop the car by the side of the street, so the ambulance or fire truck can pass as fast as it can. Because people know the urgency of saving people and putting out a fire, that is a reflection of one's conscience. No one would stop the ambulance or fire truck and ask for proof for such urgency.

On March 9, 2006, the first eyewitness disclosed the secret concentration camp on the Minghui website, and on the same day, the Epoch Times published a detailed disclosure from the same eyewitness. The witness confirmed that the concentration camp had a crematorium and detained 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners. Once their organs were taken while they were still alive, their bodies were cremated immediately. The witness did not elaborate that the peak of the activities was during 2000-2003. At present, the killing for profit has slightly decreased, but the crimes still continue.

Afterwards, another witness, the ex-wife of a surgeon, provided more evidence. She mentioned that the liver, kidneys, and corneas were taken from a living person, and then the body was thrown into the incinerator. Sujiatun Concentration Camp started to operate in 2001, and its activities reached their peak in 2002. There were 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in the camp, and so far none has walked out alive. Corneas were taken mostly from children and older inmates. The ex-husband of this witness was deeply tormented by the brutality of what was happening.

The third witness, an older military doctor from the Shenyang area, stepped forward and confirmed the existence of the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, the prevalence of organ snatching and subsequent cremation. In addition, he pointed out that Sujiatun was only one of 36 such concentration camps in China. He also said that transporting thousands of people took only one day with a cargo train, which would be carried out at night with fully armed personnel. Since Falun Gong practioners have been classified as "class enemies", the methods used to deal with them are different.

After the Sujiatun incident was exposed, on March 27, the CCP hurriedly announced the "Human Organ Transplant Clinical Application Management Interim Provisions" notification and set the effective date as July 1, 2006. Analysts pointed out that this time lag is plenty long enough to destroy evidence of the crimes. On March 28, three weeks after the exposure of Sujiatun, a spokesman for China's Foreign Affairs Ministry openly denied the existence of Sujiatun Concentration Camp during a routine press conference and claimed that reporters from all over the world could go to China to do an inspection. It was clear that the reporters were invited for an on-site inspection only after the CCP removed evidence in the three weeks following their exposure.

On April 5, 2006, an announcement from the "International Committee to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong On-site in China"(ICIPO) pointed out that reports from China indicated organ harvesting activities started in 2001 and there were concentration camps, similar to the one in Sujiatun, all over China. Falun Gong practitioners were secretly imprisoned in concentrations camps and their organs were harvested for profit, and then the bodies were cremated to eliminate evidence.

History has left us with unforgettable lessons, such as during World War II, when the Nazis in Germany used the Jews, young and old, for live physical experiments. After the first witness reported the massive killings in the concentration camps, Western countries, including the United State, failed to pay much attention and waited for more evidence to come forth. Thus, the crimes of the Nazis continued for two more years, meanwhile 2,500,000 Jews were killed. When World War II ended, the international community made a solemn commitment that such a human tragedy would never again happen. Today, 60 years later, history is giving mankind another opportunity to right what is wrong. With the CCP killing Falun Gong practitioners daily, let's see whether human beings truly treasure such an opportunity.

The establishment of ICIPO provides us with an opportunity to save more lives. Let us help by speaking up and supporting their efforts to end this terrible persecution.
