By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. When I first received the Falun Dafa books, the joy inside could not be described in words. I felt that the purpose of my life was to obtain the Fa. I learned all five sets of exercises in two days. I finished reading Zhuan Falun, Zhuan Falun II, and Zhuan Falun Fajie in nine days. When I woke up on the night of the ninth day, I saw Teacher's law body. After forty some days, I wanted to know if Teacher knew I was practicing cultivation by myself. That night, I saw Teacher's law body in the lotus position coming toward me and then flying away. I enlightened that Teacher was watching and protecting me every moment.

In the days following, Teacher often cleansed my body so that my dying body became healthy again. My entire family was very grateful, and three family members also started practicing.

During the evil years of the persecution, my home was frequently searched. My family was harassed and illegally detained. But we all came through and continued our cultivation. We firmly believe in Teacher.

We believe that reading Dafa books is the basic guarantee of our consummation, as Teacher said in the article "Melt Into the Fa" in Essentials for Further Advancement,

In over nine years, I have read Zhuan Falun over 1,050 times, in addition to Teacher's other articles. I never stopped practicing the exercises except when I was detained. In the spring of 1999, Teacher pushed me to a very high level and again helped me to progress toward consummation from the top down. Whenever I reached one level or needed to understand certain Fa or did not do well, Teacher gave me hints.

I live in a mountainous area, and it is difficult to get together with and exchange understandings with other practitioners. In the first two years of persecution, I did not come out to validate the Fa due to my many attachments. I only read the book and did the exercises at home. When I was taken to the detention center and police station, I yielded to the evil.

In 2002, someone reported me and I was again taken to a police station. This time I put my hand on my chest and told the police, "Falun Gong is in my heart. I did not do anything illegal, and you cannot do anything to me." Then I sat down in the lotus position and told them the truth about Falun Gong, including the Tiananmen Self-immolation case. I explained to them how CCTV had fabricated lies to defame Dafa, how more and more people had started to practice Falun Gong, and so on. Finally, the police said, "We had a very good talk today. You are a very straightforward person and a tough one, too. Go home."

In the past few years, police from the local 610 Office and police department have come to my home on many occasions to question me. With righteous thoughts, I have told them about the wonders of Dafa and the truth about the persecution, as well as why a person should be kind. In all cases, they left my home in peace.

I thank Teacher for pushing me forward in my cultivation as if teaching a baby to walk. When I did well, he encouraged me and strengthened my beliefs. When I did not do well in clarifying the truth, Teacher showed me the irreversible consequences that I would forever regret.

Last year, I was apathetic about distributing truth-clarifying materials. One night I woke up and saw myself sitting on a rock in a riverbed. I was watching a small piece of sky and sighing hopelessly. I enlightened that when the time comes for a Dafa disciple to consummate, it would be useless to cry if I did not make it. From ancient times to the present, I became a Dafa disciple in the Fa-rectification period just for this moment. If I cannot reach consummation when the Fa rectifies the human realm, the opportunity is lost forever. We must make the best use of this period of time, for it is worth thousands, tens of thousands pieces of gold, to do the three things well so that we can reach the standard of the Fa and return home with Teacher.
