By a Dafa practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a 62-year-old retired worker. At the age of 39, I had kidney disease, and was then examined by the provincial medical center. My health problems turned out to be kidney syndrome, uremia, entire body swelling, high blood pressure, heart disease, cerebral thrombosis, liver cirrhosis, distorted mouth and eyes, and headache, among other ailments. In addition, the left side of my body was numb and it was hard to raise my legs. I had so many illnesses. I spent a large amount of money, and visited various doctors, but my condition did not improve.

In August 1996, my neighbor introduced Falun Gong to me. The next morning, I went to the park to do the exercises. Because I was a little late, I only did the 2^nd set of exercises. On the way home, I had to look for restrooms everywhere because of diarrhea. It lasted for 7 days. On the eighth day, not only was the diarrhea gone, but the entire body swelling also diminished. My abdomen returned to its normal size, and I could walk very easily, as if I were being lifted up. My whole family was surprised: Falun Gong is so good, and it surpassed modern medical technologies, curing without medication!

Before that, I had been ill for a very long time, and each year I had to spend more than 8,000 yuan for medical expenses. Since starting to practice in 1996, all the illnesses were gone. My waist was used to be 127 cm (50") because of the swelling, now it's only 90 (35.5"). My blood pressure also dropped from 220/170 to 140/90. My distorted mouth and eyes also went back to normal and my liver also began to function well. I had two major operations in 1990 and 1991, which caused long-lasting pain in my lower back and legs. That pain is also gone now. People around me all agreed: "Falun Gong is indeed good." Now I am able to do physical work. Dafa gave me a second life, and my practice also benefited the entire family.

Because of this, I was very determined in my practice. I quickly came to understand the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, the guiding principles of Falun Gong

Since July 20, 1999, the vicious Chinese Communist Party (CCP) publicly persecuted Falun Gong. This impeded my regular Fa-study and exercises, as well as my xinxing. Although I had been healthy, on December 28, 2005, I suddenly fell ill again. This time, the right half of my body could not move, nor could I eat. My mouth and eyes were distorted again. After an MRI examination, the doctor reached a diagnosis: 1) brain stem infarction, 2) right thalamus infarction, 3) brain ischemia, and 4) brain atrophy. The doctor told my family, "It is hopeless, just go back home."

During my four days' stay in the hospital, my entire body could not move. I ate and drank in the bed, and someone had to help me with urination and bowel movements. I was very nervous and cried every day. On the fifth day, I calmed down: after all I had learned Dafa in the past, and many illnesses were cured. So I sat up, and managed to do the sitting meditation. After about 10 minutes, my legs were able to move, so I could get off the bed and stand up. On the sixth day, I was able to walk. After resuming Fa-study and the exercises, my health improved so dramatically that I no longer needed to stay in the hospital. The doctors, nurses, and other patients were all impressed: "Falun Dafa is so great! The illness was gone so fast, it is amazing!"
