(Clearwisdom.net) This year is the 14^th anniversary of the start of the spread of Falun Dafa. The once-a-year "World Falun Dafa Day" is almost here. Three weeks ago, practitioners from different areas discussed and exchanged ideas about this topic. The following is a summary of that exchange. We hope it will help more practitioners understand and attach importance to the activities and reports on World Falun Dafa Day.

It has been several years now that practitioners have been holding celebration activities to recognize World Falun Dafa Day. In the beginning we sensed the magnificence of holding such a celebration, but over the years it has become routine. Now some practitioners abroad think it is just our activity and it does not matter whether we hold it or not since there is no outside interest. In Mainland China, some practitioners use "safety" as an excuse to stop clarifying the truth around this "sensitive date", and wait until the "storm" is over. Even for those practitioners who are able to step forward during this time, it is still an issue of whether they are still able to pay close attention to their cultivation.

Our mentality directly influences the effect of our truth clarification. For example, one year practitioners from Canada and the United States decided to hold activities to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day, but the weather was not good in either place. The rain began to interfere with the activities in the United States, but it turned into a sunny day in Canada.

Our attitude regarding holding a celebration for World Falun Dafa Day reflects the attitude of practitioners as a whole and reflects how much we hold in reverence and cherish Master and Dafa. Some practitioners just celebrate May 13^th as Master's birthday. Actually, on May 13, 1992, Master first formerly introduced Dafa to the world. Let us think about this calmly. If Master had not introduced Dafa to the world, what would our situation be like today as individuals? What would our future hold? What would there be for all of human society--or the universe? If we can think it through with a clear head and hold profound gratitude in our hearts, we will know how to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and how to spread the good news to the world's people. How can we still think it is just a formality? Can we cherish the opportunity and encourage those practitioners who have not stepped forward to do so? Can we encourage those practitioners who have already stepped forward to walk their own path with the mentality of a true cultivator? (For example, with regard to the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and events exposing the CCP harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, many practitioners did not have a clear understanding of the events on the basis of the Fa, were interfered with by their own emotions, did not catch up with the Fa-rectification, and caused losses to Dafa.)

The original intent of this observance was to invite the world's people to join our celebration of World Falun Dafa Day. It not only has something to do with Dafa practitioners, but also has everything to do with all living beings. The spreading of Dafa is extremely precious to all living beings. Master taught us in "Fa-Lecture during the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference:"

"My situation isn't something that ordinary beings can imagine. During the Fa-rectification Master has taken into his body the lives of all beings in the cosmos and the lives of all the various elements. First off, it's for safety reasons in the Fa-rectification--the lives of all beings are here with me, so no one can do things that would jeopardize the cosmos. Secondly, it's to have no being or any of the various elements in the cosmos evade Fa-rectification. And thirdly, it's to protect their lives during the Fa-rectification. That's why all over Master's body are images of the different-size and different-type beings at various levels of the cosmos, as well as the images of Daos, Gods, and Buddhas, and those of humans are included, too; some of them are large, some are small. But they can't interfere with Master, and they can't exert any influence, as what's happened is that I have taken in all beings' lives."

We cannot express with words how fortunate we are and how grateful we are for Master's immense compassion.

As practitioners during the Fa-rectification, we should understand that whatever is made known widely in the society cannot be compared to the vast spreading of Falun Dafa in over 80 countries in the world; it cannot be compared at the same level, and the meaning and the importance are completely different. World Falun Dafa Day is a time for the whole of humanity to exclaim, " Falun Dafa is good" and "The world needs Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." Together let us cherish this fortunate opportunity with our pure hearts and celebrate this holy day that will resonate through the ages.
