A Unique Mother's Day in Kinmen, Taiwan (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 13, 2006, the Kinmen County Women's Rights Association held a cultural event at the plaza behind Kinmen Stadium. The day also marked the 14th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the world. Falun Gong practitioners from Kinmen celebrated the special day and shared the beauty of Dafa with local people.

According to the Kinmen County Women's Rights Association, more than 1,200 ladies from other countries, including 800 from Mainland China, married Kinmen men. The cultural event was held to encourage those foreign brides to join more community activities.

Ms. Tang (in black) came to sign the petition before the event was concluded.

The event attracted a great number of people, including brides from Mainland China. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to demonstrate the exercises. The peaceful music and the graceful movements attracted many visitors' attention.

A lady told practitioners that she came from Fujian Province in China. She signed the petition immediately after she learned about the Chinese communist regime's illegal organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Many people came by the practitioners' booth and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

A mother came over with her son and explained to him: In Mainland China, people's organs were taken away and sold for profit. This is wrong. We should support human rights and sign the petition.

A third-grade student who learned the facts helped to clarify the truth to people. She asked a young child to sign the petition. The child said, "I don't know how to write my name." So the student asked for the young child's permission to sign her name for her. She wrote on her hand the child's name and asked whether she wrote it correctly.

Secretary-general of the Fujian Province of Taiwan Mr. Weng Mingchi came over to sign the petition to support Falun Gong. He was happy to see so many people signing the petition.

In just one morning, the cloth was covered with petition signatures.
